November 16, 2010 at 9:36 amI love your story, Melissa, and your words of wisdom.
“You have to really, really want to make it happen.”
That is so true! And for all the frustrating days I’ve had in this business, I’ve had twice as many really great days and that’s what keeps me going. Plus, I believe all the thinking, helping, creating, problem-solving, strategizing, etc., keeps my mind young and active. π
Thanks both of you.

November 16, 2010 at 4:18 pmVery good interview. I agree that you’ll want to quit really fast if you don’t want to succeed bad enough or don’t want to do some real W-O-R-K.
Melissa Ingold
November 17, 2010 at 9:43 amExactly! You’ll get no where in this business if you don’t work. You do the work, and you’ll make real progress. π

November 17, 2010 at 6:10 amThe crying into the pad Thai hit a little too close to home! That’s what I had for dinner last night as I sat at the mall food court bemoaning another not-so-nice email! (maybe we should start calling it pad Cry!?? Haha!)
Outsourcing, here I come!!
Nicole
November 17, 2010 at 10:22 amlol. Pad Cry!
Yes, outsource your customer support. Pronto. You have a soft heart and don’t need it hurt by meanies.
xoxoxo
Melissa Ingold
November 17, 2010 at 12:07 pmOh no! Yes, outsource your email. I know it’s hard to let it go. But it’s just too stressful and upsetting to be dealing personally with people who are jut plain mean.
It’s impossible not to get upset and want to lash out when you’re so close to your business, and you know that what they’re saying is wrong. So having a VA handle it all allows you to focus on the good things in your business π

November 17, 2010 at 10:14 amNicole–great podcast, as always! What marketing strategy do you guys depend on most to promo your PLR sites, free marketing (social media/article marketing), blogging or paid advertising? TIA. π

November 17, 2010 at 10:21 amHi Emily,
I believe in a varied approach to traffic, but I would say I focus most on SEO and my affiliate program. π
Hope that helps!

November 17, 2010 at 10:51 amOK, so two marketing strategies I didn’t mention, LOL! Yes, that helps a lot. Keep that towel glued on! π
Melissa Ingold
November 17, 2010 at 12:14 pmMy affiliate program is the big key to getting traffic and sales. But I’ve also done article marketing, free reports, and setting up “worker bee” sites to funnel plr leads onto lists.
