Computer Butt Challenge: Join Me?

Hi! Last year around this time, I hosted a month-long challenge to get rid of Computer Butt. It was a ton of fun and it got a lot of us moving out of our swivel chairs – if only for 10 minutes at a time. And the best part is that the participants, including me, noticed results. We looked better, felt better, were more productive — and did I mention looked better? πŸ™‚

Well, Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner, along with cookies, pies, and mashed potatoes (YUM) so I figured it was time to do a little damage control. I connected with Scott Tousignant (of Fat Loss Quickie fame) to see what he was up to, and he said that his wife, Angie, just released her Circuit Training course last week. “It focuses on the butt – and it's only $10.”

I thought, “Well, heck, look what I got myself into now. I may have to actually do this again.”Β Β  So, I started coming up with excuses and grilled Scott, trying to get out of it…

Me: Is it less than 30 minutes? My people won't do it if there's too big of a time commitment.

Scott: Yes.

Me: Does it require thinking? I want something that I can do that allows me to turn OFF my brain for a few minutes during the day.

Scott: It's a circuit and it's very easy to follow.

Me: What about coordination? (At this point, I was getting desperate for an excuse…) I don't want to learn any complicated steps.

Scott: It's nothing harder than you've done in the last challenge. And, it's the exact workout that has worked really well for Angie to trim her butt.

Me: Crud. It really works?

Scott: Yes. So? You in?

Me: ((sigh))

Scott: Nicole… don't make me…

Me: ok. I'm in.

But, before I recommended it, I, of course, had to give it a try. So, I did the first two workouts last week. And, I have one word for you – OUCH. (In a good way.)

Here's the program I'm doing – which was designed by Angie Tousignant (Scott's awesome wife) to turn your computer butt into a sexy butt:

It's only $10 so I'm not even using my affiliate link because I think it's so underpriced and I want Scott and Angie to keep the cash.

http://www.fatlossquickie.com/Sizzlin-Circuits.php

I am going to spend the next month going through Angie's program. And, you can follow along either by watching and cheering me on or by doing the challenge with me.

Either way, you are invited to read my journey and see what happens.

And, since I like to give you an honest review of everything I recommend, the only constructive feedback about the course that I have is –

1. When I downloaded the files, the names were workout1, cardio1, so I had to rename them Monday, Tuesday, etc, to know the order. (I'm sure Scott can give instruction on that or rename them.)

2. In the videos, Angie is so busy working out that she doesn't give as much instruction as I'd like. I wish she'd chat a bit more, but I can understand she's focused on demonstrating the workout that she's not exactly feeling chatty. God knows I couldn't carry on a conversation while I was doing it! That was the same issue I had with Scott's workout. I'd be on the floor doing something and not realize he'd already gotten up and was on the next thing, because I couldn't see my computer screen. lol! However, this is a very small issue. I'd just like to know if I'm doing things right, so a little more verbal instruction would be awesome.

3. I didn't know what HIIT meant and it's all over the sale page so I had to Google it. It's High Intensity Interval Training (basically circuit training).Β  <- Note: Business lesson there. Always use the language of your customer. πŸ™‚

Scott and Angie are GREAT friends and I know Scott is very “real” so I can share both the good (which there is much of) as well as my thoughts of what can be improved as he's awesome like that. Plus, Scott's an ethical marketer, too, so he knows I have to be 100% honest if I want you guys to believe what I say, right?

If you are unhappy with the way you look and feel, feeling fatigued, and not getting a whole lot done during the day, I hope you’ll consider joining me.

Here's how…

Step One: Grab the Sizzlin' Circuits Course.

If you’d like to join me in the challenge, and I hope you will, just sign up for the program.

Woo hoo! So excited to get this new challenge rolling. You ROCK Nik!

I love the feedback from your experience with following our programs. One thing that I did different with our new ROCK That Body program was do voice overs with the videos. Like you said, it’s tough to chat while working out, plus, I like to be ultra focused while working out, so most of the time I don’t even notice there’s a video camera there πŸ˜‰

I think that the voice overs will help and I’ll get to the editing table soon and have Angie add that feature to her Sizzlin’ Circuits program in the near future.

We love feedback and love to implement the feedback even more πŸ˜‰ Thanks a million!

    Let’s ROCK some computer butt!

Hey Nik, I thought that I felt a disturbance in the force… kind of like a computer butt just got obliterated πŸ˜‰

Are you riding your bike at all? That’s great for the butt too.

Hey ladies…I want to thank you all for trusting in my program! πŸ™‚ I know you will love how you feel after doing it and you will get a nice ‘burn’ to the butt area. I know my buns have been really feeling it and ‘ouch’ are they tight!! A great feeling!

Okay, time for me to finish this coffee, get the gear on, and begin to ‘sizzle’ to the Sizzlin’ Circuits!

This is exactly what I need right now – I’m in!

Last time I started on this path with you guys I lost 20lbs just from doing the videos and eating better. Now, sadly, I’m a few pounds shy of gaining it all back (BOO!) but I’m ready to start again and I’m determined to shed about 50lbs. I know I can’t focus on that but that’s where I want to be .

I’m going on vacation for two weeks. When I get back I’m joining the gym so I can go to Zumba and some other classes. I’ll also be doing some Hoop Dancing.

Anyway – I’m in! You’re not alone! Let’s see who else we can get to jump on again πŸ™‚

I also went on a 35 minute fast walk tonight. If it wasn’t so darned hot, it would have been longer.

One day down… the rest of my life to go. πŸ™‚

    How’d everyone else do?

I don’t know if I’ll check in daily, but I’m starting my own program to get in shape before the new year. Then I can have a really cool resolution that doesn’t involve getting in shape. LOL

Best of luck to everyone! πŸ™‚

    Okay Nicole I’m in, lol!

As you know I just started working out at the gym last Thursday, so I’m all for getting into shape. Since I do spend 45 minutes a day at the gym working out, I’ll be doing this challenge at night after kiddos are in bed.

It’s also been about a week since I’ve had pop or any junk food of any kind. Everything I eat is healthy. So between changing my eating habits and working out, I’ve never felt more energized or focused in my life. It’s almost addicting πŸ˜€

I’ll be posting about this on the sweetie blog, so maybe we can do a cross-blog post.

WOW Melissa what you said there is just inspiring.

I vaguely remember back about 10 years again when EVERYTHING I ate was healthy, I wanted none of any junk food and it WAS addicting to feel so good!

I’m trying to pull that memory up and switch my brain back to loving healthy eating so your comment is definitely helping me do that.

Good for you for getting started already and Good luck everyone!

Great work Melissa. A lot of people will begin exercising but forget about the nutrition aspect. They don’t realize you need the combination of exercise and nutrition to get results. Getting rid of the junk food and pop is key.

I’m definitely ready for a change of some kind over here. I’ve been ridiculously sick for a few months now and it’s literally driving me crazy. I went through a huge diet change and massive probiotic therapy that was supposed to make me feel better, but ended up feeling much worse for several weeks. I’m finally back to a normal level of misery and have been walking again little by little – looking forward to incorporating the FLQ workouts back into my routine.

This seems perfect for computer users which, let’s face it, we all are. However, it’s especially great for the office workers who sit for hours at a time, and I’m one of them. Though walking to and from work serves as my exercise, it’s not enough to outweigh how many hours I spend sitting in front of the computer. Thanks for the information! I’ll definitely look into this.
