Day 18: Home Office Fitness Tips
Today is Day 18 of the Home Office Fitness: Increase Productivity & Lose Belly Fat Challenge. (<– If you’re just discovering the challenge, we'd love to have you join us. We’ll be repeating the same series of exercises this month, so you can jump right in.)
Free! Sample the 10 Minute Quickie Workout!
For those who are still on the fence about this “10 Minute Workout” thing, here's a Sample Workout from Scott. If you don't think 10 minutes will give you the results you are looking for, I challenge you to do this workout and say that you didn't feel enough BURN! 🙂
When you're ready to join the Fat Loss Quickie program, click on the graphic below.
It’s only $20 for all of your quickie workout videos, a personal trainer who you can ask questions here, plus my awesome community of kick-butt marketers sweating with you and cheering you on.
Don't forget! Tomorrow is the …
Team Computer Butt Contest: Who’s the Squattiest?!
Tomorrow, the 3 squattiest persons (the top three who do the most squats – no weights – from Friday morning until end of day Friday) will win prizes! We’ll all check in throughout the day, but people can continue to beat you and raise the bar all day long so it’s in your best interest to do your squats before noon, so you have time to add to them later in the day if someone blows past you.
For example, if I post 125 squats at 10 in the morning and then Ronnie posts 140, then I can go do 25 more to beat him (and of course trash-talk him) and so it goes. Its kind of like a painful auction! lmao.
Please post your updates so I don't have to track you down on Twitter!
Let’s find 10 minutes every day to get healthier so we can enjoy the LIFESTYLE that we’re working towards.
((hugs)) to all.
Nicole
PS. If you haven’t listened to my interview with Scott Tousignant yet, here it is: Interview with Scott: Achieve More in your Business
Note: You can follow all posts by keeping an eye on the Computer Butt category to the right.

September 17, 2009 at 12:34 pmI was sure I checked in yesterday but I don’t see it. Anyway, did my exercises today and yesterday and I’m feelin GRRREAT! lol
Also I really am going to be away tomorrow volunteering at school so you won’t hear from me about the squats until late afternoon. Hopefully I can catch up by then!

September 17, 2009 at 3:03 pmHey Everyone,
I am getting closer to getting all of the cardio in. I was really shooting for all 5 rounds today but as I did like the second squat jump of round 5, I got the worst cramp in my right calf.
Once it stops raining small animals here, I am going to add my walking back in. I like doing both videos in the morning but I do feel like I am fizzling a little as the day moves on.
Hope you had a great day.

September 17, 2009 at 4:54 pmGot the workout done.
Is anyone else finding it really difficult to shower with this workout? I keep thinking “I’ll shower after the next one. Don’t want to get clean just to workout again in a few hours…”
But, that *really* shouldn’t go on forever. It is day 18 after all. lol! j/k
Oh, and Scott, is it ok to do the resistance (workout) portion of the workout barefoot? I have been and it’s been great, except for yesterday with the lunges. I thought I should ask.
Thanks all! Off to harass via Twitter. 🙂

September 17, 2009 at 5:16 pmROFL Uh yeah – I can relate to the waiting to shower thing. Eventually your family will drag you into the shower for a Quickie Computer Butt detox. 😛
Just think, once you shower off all the grunge for the past few days, you’ll probably weigh less. hehe
BTW, I did my Quickie today. 😉

September 17, 2009 at 5:30 pmThat is a really good question Nicole. I have been wearing my Pilates sneakers that are really easy to take off. My feet slide with some of these workouts and I can’t bounce straight on the hard floor. (I also put out my studio sized mat so I don’t have to lay on the floor.
I always think oh I should clean or … before I shower.

September 17, 2009 at 5:28 pmI’d like to know about the barefoot thing to. I love working out barefoot. Maybe that Is why i do so much yoga and pilates.

September 17, 2009 at 6:35 pmI think Traci is right Nicole, once you shower I am sure you will have lost even more!
I actually never wear shoes. I don’t think I have seen anything but sandals and flip flop since May. Maybe I should dig out my sneakers?

September 17, 2009 at 7:24 pmI did the video on this post again today – thighs were killing me! And – I have TWO sets of stairs at this house – oh the torture!
Then we went to the hospital….hubby Mark’s Granny is not doing well at all. Kids exhausted – barely had time for homework. No time to practice instruments.
Long, crazy, tiring afternoon/evening. But I did get the one exercise session in.
Wonder if there’s a specific way to do the squats?

September 17, 2009 at 7:25 pmOh yeah, cuz of chaos – didn’t get before pics taken yet. ack

September 17, 2009 at 6:38 pmI’ve been doing the strength training exercises barefoot as well.
Nik, I do cardio right after the resistance exercises so I don’t have the shower issue. I do this because my body is nice and warmed up after the strength training exercises. I’m too lazy to warm up again for the cardio.
It feels to good to do the workouts in the morning and know I’ve done this wonderful thing for my body and have the rest of the day “free.”
Keep going, everybody!

September 17, 2009 at 9:28 pmWhich day has the squats? Is the exercise where we jump up and then lay down? Or is it some other exercise?
Thanks

September 18, 2009 at 3:25 amFriday is squat day. 100 squats – while holding dumbbells.
The first time I did this, I could not walk well for days; BUT, now it’s much easier. 😉

Nicole
September 18, 2009 at 4:47 amlol. You guys can hold weights. However, there’s no extra credit for it.

September 17, 2009 at 7:51 pmSquat-Off tomorrow! I, for one, am getting up at 3:00 a.m. to start… how ’bout you? Ha! AND… I’m staying up ’til Midnight!!! 😉
Nicole… the whole shower thing is a challenge in and of itself, I have to agree. If I have to leave the house to run errands between the workout and the cardio, well, they’ll just have to suffer through my stinkin’ self strolling through the grocery store, bank, or whatever!
Signed – Sweaty & Proud!
