It’s always smart to promote your offsite content. For instance, when I did my Blog Tour, I created a Squidoo lens to promote everyone’s posts and blogs in order to boost THEIR rankings.

Yes, the resource box is the free advertising that you get when you give your articles to the article directories.

My only advice (or warning) about this is to always make sure you’ve got your funnel in mind. Don’t send people AWAY from your money sites to your articles on EzineArticles.com or you’re likely to lose them. At least that’s my opinion on the matter.

However, yes, set up links from other properties to your articles on the article directories. Like from Squidoo or Blog Comments, etc.

That’s my 2 cents on the matter. 🙂

Unfortunately, Eric, it does seem that way many times.

However, in all the years that I’ve been involved in marketing (20+ and counting) those that are in it strictly for the money, soon find that they are out of business in just a few short years, if not sooner.

And yes, providing guidance and something of value to your readers and market is of utmost importance, if you want to succeed long-term online.

I have not used ezine articles because I was told you can’t post the same stuff on your blog & on ezines. So a resource box is good to use at the end of your posts…great tip!
