Today I have a guest blog post from Alice Seba.

Alice is a long-time business acquaintance turned friend.

She’s in the PLR business as well, and specializes in -> Step-by-Step PLR Bundles with Photos and Screenshots but she has so much more, too.

Today she's here to answer questions about how to use your PLR Articles to generate traffic.

Here's Alice.

Using PLR Articles to Get Traffic

by Alice Seba

QUESTION 1: Is rewriting PLR necessary in order to get traffic from it?

No, definitely not.

I actually find it a little bit bizarre that people spend their hard-earned money on some quality PLR content and then either spend a lot of time or even more money to have it completely rewritten. Not only does rewriting suck up a lot of resources (time or money), it also diminishes the quality of the content you paid for in the first place. A sentence by sentence rewrite (which is what most people do) will rarely come out better than the original content.

And all that aside, it’s just not necessary.

I do agree that in most cases, publishing PLR content “as is” is not your best strategy, but there are still things you can do to customize PLR and make it stand out from everyone else…without rewriting everything.

Here are a few things can do:

Add your point of view to the content. Your readers are most interested in what you think about a subject, so let them know.

Insert examples and case studies. Your readers will absorb your content better if it includes examples they can relate to or real-life case studies.

Add statistics, facts and quotations. All these types of content add credibility to your content and a great quotation gives them something to ponder.

Add images, video and other visual elements. These type of additions not only capture your visitors eye, they also enrich the experience and make your content more meaningful.

Put together a worksheet, graph, spreadsheet or anything that helps your reader understand or use the information more effectively.

Add links to relevant products and resources. Part of being a great source of information is providing your readers with further help they need…and you can even attach your affiliate link to it.

Now you don’t need to do each one of these things for each piece of content and it’s true that these customizations take time. However, these customizations add tremendous VALUE to your content and make it possible to draw in more traffic through word of mouth, social sharing and more. When you put all your efforts into rewriting, at best you come up with a comparable article to the one you started with and at worst, you end up with an inferior version…so where do you think you should spend your time?

QUESTION 2: Can I buy PLR that is already optimized for search engines?

Now and then you’ll come across a PLR seller that claims their content is optimized for search engines. Unfortunately, SEO-optimized PLR is a fairy tale. Unless the seller is selling to one person only (YOU), you cannot publish that content and expect a flood of search engine traffic.

But please understand, I’m not sure suggesting that if someone says the content is optimized it’s not quality content. It’s possible that a very good writer had the mistaken notion that they could optimize one piece of content and then let a bunch of people publish it as is for search engine rankings. So don’t dismiss “optimized” content out of hand, but do realize that if you want search traffic, you have to do your own optimization.

Think about it. If 30 people publish the exact same article targeting the phrase, “pink poodle bows,” do you think that all 30 people will get to the top of the Google listings? No..it’s pretty much impossible.

What you need to do instead is conduct your own keyword research and optimize for a keyword phrase you choose. You can use tools like wordtracker.com or even Google’s keyword tool at https://adwords.google.com/o/KeywordTool. If you use WordPress, a plugin like WordPress SEO by Yoast can help you more easily optimize your posts.

If you need a little SEO checklist, here’s a short version of things you should be doing:

Look for a highly targeted keyword phrase that will attract the type of traffic you’re looking for the content piece. Look for a specific phrase that has a decent amount of searches, but isn’t too competitive.

Once you have your phrase, you can include it in the following places:

Title tag and headline for your article.

Subheadlines

Body text of your article

In ALT tags on your images

In the description tag

…to mention a few things, but do be natural. Over-optimizing is even worse than not optimizing at all. Be descriptive and present great quality to your readers and you’ll do well. And don’t forget your content has to be out there for search engines think it’s valuable. Links coming to your website and shares on social media sites all go toward improving your search engine rankings.

QUESTION 3: What’s the most important thing people should focus on when it comes to growing traffic through PLR?

The focus should always be on quality first, but even if you have the best content in the world and do nothing to get it out there, it’s not going to be worth your while.

So, to simplify the answer, I’d say focus on quality first. Then promote the heck out of your quality.

Here are some ideas to help you with those two things…

Quality: Only purchase good PLR. Don’t publish something you wouldn’t be proud of. Add some personality to your content by adding examples, case studies, images and other things that will make your content stand out. Listen to feedback from your readers and pay attention to what they like. And of course, always publish more of what they like.

Promotion: Unless you have a website that has a ton of subscribers and you’re already a Google-darling, you have to bust your butt to get your content seen. The nice thing about using PLR is that it saves you a ton of time on the creation side of things, so you can focus on the promotion. Always publish your content to an RSS feed, share it with your mailing list and social media followers and link to your new content from other relevant content. Those are just a few of the many things you should do on a regular basis. As your following grows, the less active work you have do to promote your content, but when you’re just starting to grow…you have to work it and work it hard.

PLR really does provide website owners with a headstart on growing their audiences. Use that content wisely, enhance it and tell everyone about it.

Hey guys.

If you write a great blog post, people will share it.

Unfortunately… even your biggest fans rarely click the “Share” buttons and instead many will use the good ol' copy & paste buttons.

That used to stink, because they would run off with your content and you would get nothing in return. But now, that's changed.

In fact, as you will see, people are welcome to copy and paste my content into Facebook, email, or even forums as much as they want now – thanks to a new plugin that I've been using on this blog for a few weeks.

Here's a quick video (3 minutes) that shows you how this plugin can help you to get more traffic from your fans.

(Click on the image below to play the very short video.)

https://s3.amazonaws.com/evp-50bfaa38d4c09-f1b5a260c7f05c4bda44afa4744fe39f/copy-traffic-op-1.mp4

If you want to grab this plugin, check it out here

Click here to Get More Traffic with this Plugin

If you don't feel like watching the video, you can understand the gist by reading the sales page at the link above.

What exactly does this plugin do?

Basically, when people copy and paste your content to share via email or Facebook or even on forums, the plugin magically adds a link to your blog inside the pasted text.

Go ahead and try it.

Copy and paste part of this blog post into Facebook to see it in action. I don't mind one bit.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

While a dashboard might not sound sexy, this is pretty cool. Take a tour with me through the new and improved NAMS System. It's no longer a chaotic mess. :)

Hi!

One of my top recommendations online for the last year has been the NAMS Business System. There's SO much to it. Just tons of value. Much more than anything else that I've seen online.

But, there was ONE big flaw to it that I really was hoping could be corrected. Somehow.

The problem?

The members' area of NAMS was a MESS. There was tons of information with no visible rhyme or reason behind it. You could sign in, look around the site and find hundreds (maybe even thousands) of hours of audio and transcripts in there… from beginner training all the way through stuff that the most advanced students want to learn. But it was too much and it wasn't organized in a way that made sense.

Until now.

The NAMS site now has a dashboard. David Perdew, the owner of NAMS, had been talking about this dashboard for awhile and I was a little ho-hum about it. I mean, a “Dashboard” doesn't sound sexy. Heck, I don't get all tingly when I drive my car and look at the dashboard, so why should I get excited about this?

Well, I've seen it. Now I believe.

The new dashboard turns the entire NAMS training site into a step-by-step system of 56 Modules. The Modules start at very beginner – and go through way advanced stuff.

Check it out in the video below (or scroll down to see some screenshots).

If you're in a rush, just download the video here:

[display_podcast]

Here's the link if you want to play with the dashboard yourself while watching the video:

Check out the NAMS Lifetime Offer
When you go to that page, click on the first photo you see to play with the dashboard.

But, what exactly do you get if you decide to jump in?

If you join at the Lifetime Rate, you pay once and get access to…

1. The Dashboard and all of the training in it.

2. Recordings of the Weekly Webinars with Experts for the life of NAMS. These are held weekly and are highly valuable training in themselves. You will also get access to all past recordings – over 30 of them.

3. 50 new PLR articles every month for the life of NAMS. (That's 600 PLR articles per year, every year.)

4. Royalty-free music that you can use in your podcasts or videos. These are different every month.

5. Various graphics that you can use in your business.

6. The private members' forum, including the points system so that you can earn free stuff just for chit chatting in the community.

7. Your own members' blog where you can feature your expertise and link back to your blog to build traffic.

8. A special hugely-discounted ticket price to attend the NAMS Live Workshop in Atlanta twice annually. (I never miss these. I'll be there!)

9. And more. Those were just my favorite pieces and parts in the membership.

You really do have to see it to understand what's inside. Watch the video above and see if the NAMS training might be right for you. Not sure? Ask me. I'll be happy to let you know for sure.

In the meantime, here's that link again:

Click here to check out the NAMS Lifetime Offer
Click on the first photo on the page to play with the dashboard.

NAMS Dashboard in Screenshots.

For those who don't like Video, here are some screenshots for you of the dashboard.

This one shows the main dashboard area. You have the option of 56 modules that take you through the 100 level (total beginner) through the 400 level (advanced). You can see the number 400 is highlighted, simply because I took the “Marketing Assessment” which says that that's where I should focus. However, I have access to all levels because I'm a member.

If I were to scroll down on that page in the 100 level to Module 1 and open it, I would see this. (By the way, everyone, even non-members can access Module 1. So, if you want to, head over to the NAMS Lifetime Offer and click on the first photo (of the dashboard) on that page to see this live and go through this training.

Just for fun, take a look at the 300 level courses. It's really good stuff. They are still adding content this weekend, but all of this will be covered.

Here's the link one more time:

Click here to check out the NAMS Lifetime Offer
Click on the first photo on the page to play with the dashboard.

Warmly,

PS. Want to know what the best part of this is to me? That the members will see greater success than before. And, that just plain makes me happy!

While I don't give a specific answer, since I feel it's best to error on the side of caution, I do have a tool that will help you determine how much you have actually added to and edited the PLR … before you hit the “publish” button. OR you can use it to make sure that your Virtual Assistants are reworking the PLR enough.

It’s another Expert Briefs, where I ask really smart business owners to answer your burning questions.

If you've missed past Expert Briefs, you can click on the undies to see them all –>

One of my favorite quotes, since I became “Mom” is this:

The days are long but the years are short.

It never ceases to amaze me how the time in a day can crawl by, while a year seems to zoom right past in a heartbeat.

That's why time management is so very important to me.

One of the biggest time drains in an online business can be other people's demands on your time.

It used to be that you could control all of your contact through three places: 1. Email, 2. Phone, and 3. Snail Mail.

We talked about How to Handle the Constant Flow of Emails in a previous Expert Briefs.

Now, between Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Forums – and more, there are way too many ways for people to contact us… whether we like it or not.

This question is for those of you who travel a lot and/or have someone else managing
your customer emails for you…

How do you handle Direct Messages (DMs)
from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Forums, etc?

Before we get into this, I in no way, shape or form would ever mean to imply that you should ignore your customers or your fans.

This post is about:

How to manage your time to the best of your abilities, while providing the most value and connection to your “tribe” or as I like to say “your peeps”- without allowing other people to control your time – and without letting the occasional stinkers get at you, derail you, or ruin your day.

On that note… here's what my friends had to say about this topic.

Kristen Eckstein of Self Publish on Demand says:

I both travel a lot and have customer support.

Sometimes my OBM (Online Business Manager) will answer DMs while I'm gone, but most of the time I tend to those myself. Anyone on Facebook or Twitter who's sending me a message probably knows I'm out of town, so when I get back one of the first things I do is respond to them. If it's been a few days and it doesn't seem like they realized I was gone, I apologize for not getting back to them sooner and continue on to answer their questions.

I prefer the personal touch with DMs. My Facebook friends know I trust them – that's why they're my friends. I can block them if they become abusive. Since I've built this level of trust with them, and I'm known for responding to posts personally, I haven't seen any problems with being a few days “late” on a reply. Also, my Facebook profile includes an email address that gets routed through my OBM.

Many times if I haven't replied to a DM within a couple of days (such as when I was without an internet connection for 8 days on the IM Success Cruise), the person sending the DM sends it to me in an email as well. My OBM gets the email, responds that I'm out of town, and answers their questions if she can. This frees me up to not worry about people trying to get in contact with me while I'm gone so I can have a good time – and it's a win for those trying to contact me as they do get a response and know when they can expect a personal reply from me.

Jeanette S. Cates, PhD of Organize Your Online Business says:

You've caught me! I ignore DMs on all social media. That's why I was surprised to get a “text” from Nicole – who was messaging me from Facebook!

My support desk link is prominently displayed on all of my websites and it is a much more dependable method for getting hold of me than DMs or email.

Alice Seba of Step-by-Step PLR with Screenshots says:

It's probably problematic for people who follow thousands or tens of thousands of people in social media. One way I deal with it is to honestly avoid those types of messages as much as I can.

I personally don't participate in forums a lot because, at this point in my business, I believe they suck more value from my time than they give back.

For Twitter, I don't follow everyone back and thus, I don't get a plethora of Direct Messages.

Facebook hasn't been a very big focus for us, so our current Page following is small…but if private messages got a bit too voluminous, I'd have no qualms about shutting them off.

As far as my personal Facebook account goes, I keep my personal and business stuff completely separate, so it's never been an issue.

I know that makes me sound unsocial and maybe a bit callous, but I have always been very mindful of time. I strongly believe in getting to know our readers and customers, but that doesn't mean my life has to be turned into one big disruption every time I log in online. We have a support system available and it's easily found from any of my websites. I believe in training our customers to use that support system and not to teach them how to use social media as a support forum because we just don't have the resources to do that. I am not a huge corporation (just a little one) and I don't have a social media team that can turn social media into a support system. So far, our wonderful customers have respected that.

Still, I do get occasional messages and how I handle them depends on my schedule and the urgency of the matter. Most times, I will copy and paste the message and give it to my virtual assistant to take care of. I might reply to the customer and say I'm using my iPhone and I don't have access to the records they need (true) and let them know my wonderful and efficient assistant will get back to them as soon as possible.

I think it's all about boundaries. If you want to be available 24/7 and through every channel, you will be. Personally, I don't want to be.

Connie Ragen Green of Huge Profits Tiny List says:

I have a wonderful assistant who answers each DM (direct message) from my social media profiles personally. She identifies herself by name, and then goes on to either answer the question or send it over to me. She stays up very late at night, so when I am fast asleep I can still be connected with people who need to reach me. This has proven to be a very good use of outsourcing, as I can't possibly answer those inquiries myself and still do what I need to do each day in my business.

The questions from my readers who hit ‘reply' to one of my emails come directly to me, unless I am out of town for more than a day or two. If someone has a question about an offer I am recommending, I prefer to answer those myself as quickly as possible. I believe you have to experiment with this model to see what works best for you, and know that having help in this area is an excellent way to grow your business more quickly.

Nicole Dean of .. here! .. says:

Well, I asked the question, because I was hoping for some magic tool or answer. Rats.

I have a great customer support system in place that is checked and answered daily, plus I have a second Virtual Manager who pops in once a day just to make sure my support person didn't get hit by a beer truck or something. So that side of things is handled just fine.

Facebook is really the big problem for me, simply because I use it so much and I love it, but the messaging system is just not efficient for me. Plus, if I travel for a few days, I don't want a customer issue sitting in my Direct Messages, simply because I'm off enjoying life.

When it comes to my Facebook Page messages, I never think of going to read them, so I would hate for someone to really need help and not get it.

Here's what I discovered.

Facebook Page Messages. You Can Turn them Off.

If you've got “Contact” information all over your sales pages and in your emails and on your blog, etc. – and if you're not regularly checking your Facebook page messages (like I wasn't) – then go ahead and turn off the Direct Messages if you need to.

Here's how…

Go to whichever of your Facebook pages that you want to turn off the messaging.

Then go to settings and choose “Manage Permissions”.

On that page, you'll see this line.

Unclick the checkbox and save. Voila.

What about Twitter?

As far as Twitter messages go, they got so spammy that I don't really think that anyone communicates important messages on there anymore.

I don't check mine. Do you?

And, YouTube?

I set my account so that all comments and video responses are moderated unless it's a friend.

So, every few weeks, over a glass of wine, I go through those and approve the ones that aren't totally insane. (Hence the wine….)

Forum DMs.

Forums have been harder for me, simply because I want to be available to help people – BUT I also need to cherish my time (not just protect it, but cherish it).

So, I have had to come up with a pat answer when people DM me for personal help and that is to direct them back to the forum and then alert me of the post. If I can help, I will do so in the forum post, but that I can't personally help in Direct Messages. That's what my coaching clients pay me for.

Squidoo.

I outsource this.

Facebook Profile DMs.

Here I'm still stuck. I am friends with everyone from my Grandmother to my customers and JV partners on my Facebook Personal page. Basically, if I know you, we can be friends. So, it's hard to outsource.

I normally tell people right away to please contact me at my email address (or send them directly to my help desk if necessary).

However, I am definitely open to suggestions here.

Thanks much everyone for reading!

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

I personally hate it. That's not a big revelation there, though, I'm guessing.

Well, this morning, it downright P*SSED ME OFF! (Excuse my language, but I'm mad.)

Here is the story of how I got the FunMoods browser (download) this morning… and I'll share how I got rid of it, too.

Disclaimer: There is some debate over whether Funmoods is a virus or not. I'm not saying that it is. However, I say, that considering it cost me HOURS of my workday today, I am not a fan. And, considering they sent me a nasty letter over this blog post, I'm even more irritated than before.

I considered taking this blog post down, but since there are over 63,000 results when you search “Funmoods virus” and even more when you search “Funmoods malware” (50,000 + results) or “Funmoods spyware” (30,000 + results) – it's apparent to me that others are struggling with “ISSUES” regarding this download, just as I did. Plus, if you read the comments, there are others who have lost time due to this “download”.

The Story…

First, I woke up this morning (thank God for another day). I got the kids off to school and came into my office. I opened my inbox and found a cool new course that I wanted to check out about how to use the software Paint.net (do not go get it yet, please).

So, I buy the course (Yay!) and set off to download Paint.net (Yay again!).

Then I get to the download page for the free software…

Now, granted, this was before my second cup of coffee, so guess which link I clicked? (If you guessed the one I've marked with a big X – you are right!)

Guess what that big blue “Download” graphic (ie blatant advertisement) gave me? Yep. The FunMoods download. It was a crappy ad, and I clicked and downloaded it all on my own.

If I had read a little bit closer, I would have instead seen the download link hidden in the upper right side of the screen. But nooooooo… I was in a hurry.

Update: If you want to download Paint.net – this site appears more trustworthy. Although, if you look at the bottom of this post, I have the link to download GIMP, another free program, instead.

What is the FunMoods (Download)?

They call themselves a search engine but I disagree.

Within moments of clicking “Download” for what I believed to be Paint.net – a graphics program, I knew something was up. My gut said “This doesn't look right” but again… I blame the lack of coffee in my bloodstream so I ignored it.

All of a sudden both my Firefox and my Internet Explorer browsers “blurped” and came back up with “FunMoods.com” as the default browser set on the sites.

I also noticed that I had a whole bunch of other files downloaded in my “Programs” folder, too.

I also got a fun new “FunMoods” toolbar that I didn't want.

So, the fun began. And, I will share just how I began to get rid of the junk.

Note: Watch the videos and check your PC to make sure you don't have any hidden spyware on your PC, too.

Step One: Uninstall the FunMoods Program(s) from your Computer

Step one was to remove the FunMoods program from my computer. That was easy enough and I figured that would be all that I'd need to do. (Wrong.)

Imagine my surprise when I looked at my recent programs and saw that more than FIVE new programs had been added today in that one wrong “click” on a mouse.

If you have Windows and want to know how to see if you have any hidden programs and to Uninstall those Programs, here's a video to show you how.

Step Two: Remove New FunMoods Firefox Addons

I deleted the programs which was all well and good, but there was still major wonkiness.

So, step two was to figure out what FunMoods had added to Firefox that wasn't showing up in the general programs.

I searched my Firefox Addons and discovered (shockingly) that there were new Addons installed. Yay! (NOT!)

So, here's how you check your AddOns in Firefox and disable those that you do not want there.

The files also changed my Internet Explorer settings but I didn't record a video for how to fix that one. Let me know if you need help with it and I can.

Step Three: Reset your Default Page

The first two steps went pretty smoothly for me. But, no matter what I did, I could not get rid of that FunMoods page every time I reopened Firefox.

I was sorely tempted to pour myself a glass of wine, but it was only 10 am. (Sooooo tempted….)

Here's what I did next.

Again, I had to update my default page in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, but I only recorded a video for Firefox. I hope it helps.

Now, granted, I am not a security expert, and I fully intend to bug both my husband and my Virtual Assistant to do some more research on this spyware before feeling secure. But, these steps at least got me back on my feet for the time being.

Let me know what you think. Did I miss anything? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

Today's AWESOME Guest post is from Alice Seba.

Alice is a long-time business acquaintance turned friend.

She’s in the PLR business as well, and specializes in -> Step-by-Step PLR Bundles with Photos and Screenshots but she has so much more, too.

She shares one of the most comprehensive lists of how to use your PLR Content that I've seen. I'll be back soon! Miss you all…

Here's Alice.

How to Use DIYPLR Content

by Alice Seba

While Nicole is still neck-deep in adoption paperwork and is getting settled back in after her long trip, she asked me to step in.

Nicole asked if I would share some ideas and examples of how to use DIYplr. I know Nicole is always kind enough to sing the praises of DIYplr, but if you're not familiar with us, perhaps I should explain.

We specialize in creating illustrated tutorials in a variety of subjects and providing other useful tools like slide shows, tips lists and more for our customers. The idea is that we give you the nuts and bolts of high quality content that you can incorporate into your own unique business. Instead of giving you the “business in a box” type of PLR (which absolutely has its uses), we give you stuff that you can incorporate into your business…almost seamlessly.

So let's look at some examples of the types of content we provide and all the wonderful things you can do with them…

#1 Step-by-Step Tutorials for Tools, Software and Applications

We offer a variety of these types of tutorials that show your readers how to use popular tools, software and applications. Whether it's Autoresponse Plus, running apps for mobile phones or meal planning applications for busy families, we do it all step-by-step and include a ton of screenshots.

Here's a little snapshot from our Meal Planning – Digital Style bundle. This is a guide to using the All Recipes App (which is totally awesome, by the way). :

So what could you do with this type of content?

How to blog posts: This content is easily turned into a blog post, just copy-and-paste and insert your images. Add your own thoughts, opinions and suggestions.

Wiki content: If you have a technology wiki or a food wiki, our content provides makes it easy to take snippets and add the information and the pictures you want.

Info product content: If you've got a product about meal planning, here's some great stuff to add. Or simply bundle up the 4 app tutorials in this bundle, add an introduction and conclusion…and you've got yourself a free giveaway report.

Original blog posts: If you're weary of using pre-written content that might be published elsewhere, write your own content, but just use our screenshots as a real time saver.

Slide Shows: The screenshots are easily added into a how-to slide show. And psst…a number of our bundles actually come with ready-made slide shows. You can add slide shows to slideshare.net, post them to your blog and more.

Videos: Take those slides I just mentioned and turn them into a video. Add your narration or some music (YouTube has lots of free music to choose from), and you're ready to go.

Webinars and Presentations: Because the guides are so visual, they can also be turned into presentation material for webinars or in person presentations.

Add your affiliate links, of course!: In this example, add your links to the app store or to programs like Christine's Meal Planning Central.

Other Illustrated Guide Topics Available: Autoresponse Plus, Kindle Loader Guides (free download), Online Business Security, Make Money Online – No Marketing Genius Required, Warrior Forum, Facebook, Facebook Ads, Instagram, Social Media Integration, Running / Jogging Apps, Genealogy and Words with Friends.

#2 Recipes with Photos

Food is one of my favorite subjects, so I might be a bit biased, but there are also so many thing to do with recipes with photos. Here's a snapshot from our Cakes & Cupcakes bundle.

So what to do with this mouthwatering content?

Post the recipes to your blog: Easy-peasy, right?

Pin images from your posts to Pinterest: People love seeing yummy food and repin feverishly.

Make a cookbook…print and/or digital: You can even take the images and rewrite the recipes and add your own flair to create a Kinde ebook. Thanks to Peg Baron for that tip!

Feed the search engines: Recipes are amazing search engine fodder because people are always looking for recipes.

Keep the Images in a Collection: We all know it's not always easy to find the stock photo we need or they can be expensive. Grab a few of these bundles, and you've got a pretty sweet collection of images you can use in all kinds of other content.

Other recipe PLR Available: 30 Delicious and Easy Recipes

#3 Top 10 Lists and Slide Shows

Another kind of fun and versatile type of content we have available is our top 10 lists and slide shows. Everybody loves a top 10 list (whether they agree or vehemently disagree with the list) and it's the type of content people share and like to comment on.

With most of our slide shows, we provide an illustrated Top 10 list in .doc format. Here's an excerpt from the Top 10 Web Stats Programs list in our recent Internet Marketing Top 10s mega pack.

The lists can be used for:

Blog posts: Add the text, insert the images and your ready to go. Perhaps add your own opinions and experiences for a more unique reader experience.

A downloadable report or document: If your readers are considering a variety of web stats programs, having your handy list available will certainly help them make the right decision (so don't forget your affiliate links!).

A script for a webinar or in-person presentation: We've also added the slide shows, so the list in .doc format can serve as your script.

A 10-day or 10-week series by featuring one item each day: What an easy way to stretch your content by dripping each item in the list day-by-day or week-by-week.

Just a beginning: Add even more top resources that you think should be on the list (and, of course, remove any you think might not belong there. :-))

And each top 10 list gets a slide show. From the same mega pack, here's a little peek at the Top 10 Email Marketing Autoresponder Tools slide show.

The slide shows can be used in a number of ways:

Brand & Monetize: Definitely add your logo and special offer…we've made a space for you to do that.

Presentation: Use it for a webinar or in-person presentation (coupled with the list you can use as a script)

Video: Turn the slides into a video. One of the easiest ways to turn a slide show into video is by exporting the slides as images and then importing them into a free program like Microsoft Photo Story. You can add narrations and music, if you'd like.

Other Bundles with Slide Shows Included: Email Marketing Tips and Slide Shows, Work at Home / WAHM Tips, Facebook Slide Shows, Digital Publishing (with resell rights) and the Social Media Integration Mega Pack.

#4 Tips Lists

We also frequently provide large tips lists for our customers and they usually sell out relatively quickly because they can be used in so many ways and include a ton of content. Here's a little sneak peek of our 366 Social Media Tips bundle. Each tip that is under 140 characters, includes a T beside it for Twitter, so users can easily identify tips that could be posted to that social network.

Some ideas for the tips lists:

Schedule to Social Media: Add the tips to Hootsuite and schedule Facebook posts and tweets…or just pull up the list anytime you're one your favorite social network and copy and paste.

Post to Social Media: Break up the tips list into categories for numerous lists. These make great blog posts, printable lists and more. For example, you could do a Top 40 Facebook Tips or Top 30 Twitter Tips list from these.

Put a rotating “Tip of the Day” on your website: All it takes is a little script (just Google “tip of the day script”) and loading all the content in and you're good to go.

Make a printable daily calendar and put a tip on for each day: What a great gift for some of your favorite customers.

Expand each tip into a short article: The tips can serve as a topic brainstorming tool.

Put a tip of the day on video: Grab your video camera and make a series of quick videos…then publish one each day.

Slide Show: Turn the tips into a slide show…just add some images

Other available bundles with tips lists: Email Marketing Tips and Slide Shows. We also have 366 Finance Tips coming in July.

#5 Checklists

A number of our bundles also include handy checklists that your readers can reference, print and refer to over and over again. Here's a little look at a checklist from our Online Business Security bundle.

Value boost to your information products: Checklists add great value and very useful content to information products, so add them in.

Add them bonus download to your blog posts (and use the Kindle Loader plugin to make it easy for your readers to add the checklists to their Kindles): Readers love getting little extras to take away from your helpful blog posts.

Expand them into a report or ebook: Checklists include a ton of starter information that is easily expanded into longer content.

Print them out and give them away: Give them at local events, in offices that reach your target audience and more.

Other available bundles with checklists included: Facebook Glossary, Checklists & Quiz…with others coming soon.

How Our Customers Use DIYplr:

In preparation for writing this post, I asked our customers how they use our PLR and I got a few responses that might be useful for getting the creative juices flowing as well.

– Kim Castleberry: “[I] supplement my usual posts on my blog…I do similarly for new client blogs to give them a little bit of a ‘lived in' feel.”

– Marya Miller: “I use your PLR as rocket fuel. Seriously. If I have a heavy workload (which seems to be all the time) I will go through my collection of PLR to quickly glean links to resources. I use it as a research tool — it shortcuts the beginning of the research process by providing ideas, clues, avenues it would have otherwise taken me three hours to discover I need to explore and so forth.”

– James Artre: “I keep a close watch on several PLR sites, such as Nicole’s and your own, to see what type of content you are currently offering; being ever mindful of changes from one month to the next. Since any good PLR provider has already performed the necessary research to verify what is ‘hot' and what is not, then this saves me time from those duties and allows me to focus more of my energies on content creation.

Based on my personal needs/goals at the time, I purchase the relevant packages and then glean the content for: titles, leads, keywords and keyword phrases. If the content is good ‘as is' – then I simply rewrite, restructure and re-purpose the content.”

– Jeannette Cates: “I love PLR – particularly your DIY PLR. That’s the one I use the most because I am in the Internet Marketing niche. So nearly everything you publish fits somewhere in my business. I use many of the individual reports to either generate a short slide show for youtube or one of my members’ sites or I use it ‘as is' and create a PDF that I post into the Online Success Incubator, my main member site for beginners.

I’ve taken PLR and create products from it. My Pinterest Made Simple is 100% PLR – or it was till I started ‘adding' more content to it. But I started with the Pinterest 5-message autoresponder sequence and then added the special report. Now I’ve added a few videos, additional autoresponder messages, etc.”

– Marcia Ming: “I use some of the PLR as a starting point for blog posts and articles. I also have been using it to spot opportunities in the market place. I love the Top 10 series you offered recently. I am planning to create some videos to load on YouTube and my blog with those.”

The Only Limits Are Your Own

I hope this has generated some great ideas for you…whether you use our PLR, Nicole's, anyone else's or even create your own content from scratch. There is always so much that can be done with just one piece of content that provides great value to your readers.

Recommended High Quality PLR from this article:

DIY PLR – Grab it here!

EasyPLR – by Nicole!

Your Turn to Shine!

Now, I'd love to hear from you. How do use PLR or what ideas has this post help generate?

Hi all! As you may know, I have the attention span of a gnat. (Make that a gnat on speed.)

This uhhh… “attribute” of mine makes video training courses, no matter how good they are, impossible for me to consume for two reasons.

I usually won't even start watching the darned video, because I know it'll take an hour of my time.

If I do attempt to watch a webinar replay, my mind typically wanders as people talk slower than I think. This means that I don't absorb the material, anyway, because my brain is off making my shopping list.

Problem? Solution.

Here's a quick three minute video that shows how I speed up videos so that they keep my attention.

The course that I'm currently taking is the Ultimate Social Challenge, and you can learn more about it here: Ultimate Social Challenge Bonus.

Yes, I get the irony of making a video for people who hate watching videos. lol. I didn't miss that one.

So, just in case you REALLY hate videos, here's a quick step-by-step for you.

How to Speed Up Videos

Step One: Download the video that you want to watch.

Step Two: Begin watching it in Windows Media Player.

Step Three: Right click on the video screen. You'll see this:

Step Four: Choose “Play Speed Settings”. You'll see this.

Step Five: Slide the bar to where you can mentally keep up to the sound, but are challenged to do so. (This point will vary, depending on the speaker's speaking pace.)

Thanks for coming by. Please let me know what you think about videos in general. Am I weird?

Have a beautiful day!

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

PS. Despite the fact that the Ultimate Social Challenge is being delivered via video/webinar, I am learning a lot. The live case study is what I'm enjoying the most.
Friday is the day where I give you free content that you can use on your blog – with your affiliate link, to make money with. Hurray!

Not only that, but it’s copy/paste ready for you to profit.

So, yep. You can make money by publishing free stuff. Pretty cool eh?

Of course, rules apply.

So what do I have for you today?

It's a tour of the NAMS membership program. At the end of the video, I included a big arrow that points to under the video so that you can post your affiliate link under the video to earn commissions.

-> The only thing I ask is that somewhere in the post you mention me and link to any post on my blog that you've enjoyed.

Here's the video:

Grab and Go:

Video is on YouTube here: NAMS Tour on YouTube

Here's the MP4 version if you prefer to use that: MP4 Version of NAMS Tour. (Right click to download to your computer.)

You are welcome to post the video on your blog and promote NAMS under it. Here's an example that you might use:

JOIN ME IN THE NAMS COMMUNITY!
Click here to check out NAMS
(be sure to look for a coupon code on the page)

Would you like to become an affiliate for NAMS?

You have two options.

Join the NAMS Community here and you'll automatically become an affiliate, too. (Recommended.)
OR

Click here and Sign Up for a Free Affiliate Only Account

Thanks!

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

But WHAT the heck is NAMS? And, who is it for?

The problem is that the benefits were not clearly stated on the sales page – as far as what members actually receive.

So, I recorded a quick video to share the “behind the scenes scoop” as to what you actually get as a NAMS member. JUST the 30 information-packed webinars in the members' area alone are totally worth joining, in my humble opinion.

Check it out here:

If you have ever thought of joining, go to this page to see what's included. (I think you'll be shocked!)
Click here to Check out NAMS (use this coupon code for 85% off: MYNAMS85)

In a nutshell, members get…

Weekly Hour Long Business Building Webinars with awesome people. You also get replays, a PDF of the Presentations, & an Audio Download to listen on the road.

50 New Niche PLR Articles every Month (10 PLR Articles in 5 Different Niches)

Ongoing Access to More Than 1300 Tutorial Videos on Various Aspects of Running an Online Business

Unique Monthly Graphics Package for Your Business Use

Monthly Royalty Free Music for Your Business. Need a podcast intro or video background music? That's what this is for.

Monthly Turnkey Niche Sites Complete with 25 Pages of Content

Private forum access for brainstorming

Member blogs with “do follow” links so you can repost some of your content over there to get links back to your site.

Member Showcase. List your websites in their exclusive member directory.

Launch and Joint Venture Calendar to help you to recruit affiliates.

Best Discount on the Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop held twice per year in Atlanta – where you can meet cool people like ME!

If that sounds like something you need, go to this page to see what's included:

ok, but who should NOT join NAMS?

1. If you're spending and spending and not actually taking the time to learn the material and implement. Then hold off for now and please don't sign up. (Go through what you've already bought first.)
2. If you do not wish to be any of the following: an affiliate marketer, online business owner, information marketer, or blogger. (Then it's not a good fit.)
3. If you're just wanting to throw up a bunch of quick websites and watch the easy money roll in. (That's not quite how it works…)

Is NAMS perfect? The Be-All End-All Solution You Need?

Nah. There are definitely things I'd improve, but David is working on a lot of that behind the scenes – like organizing the tons of content on the site so it's easier to navigate.

It is, however, a place that I trust to send my own mother. And there aren't a whole lot of those places online.

Click here to Check out NAMS (use this coupon code for 85% off: MYNAMS85)

I hope you like it.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean
