One of the questions I get asked the most is “What is the ONE thing I've done in my business that has made the biggest impact financially?”

Actually that's a very easy answer. I partnered with another serious marketer!

ok. It doesn't sound that exciting, yet, but let me give you a little more of the story….

I had been working online for a few years and making money. It grew month by month, but it wasn't to the point where the TIME and the MONEY were even close to where I wanted them. I was spending too much time for not enough money, honestly, and … it was frustrating, because my income needed to be well beyond where it was for our needs. (You may be there right now.)

At about this time, my friend, Kelly McCausey, and I decided to do an online project together. She was a bit further ahead of me in the learning curve (and more importantly, she wasn't as big of a chicken as I was!) so I jumped in with both feet. I figured, I'd learn and earn at the same time.

Well, let me just tell you … I learned AND I earned.

I learned to LEAP over obstacles that had been in my way.

I learned to PLOW past my own insecurities. (Kelly was depending on me. I couldn't let my fear hold me back from my end of our bargain.)

And, I got to get paid in the process.

Not only that, but there was a domino effect. Her affiliates now knew my name. Her friends now knew my name. Her customers now knew my name. She opened doors for me that I'd been a'knockin' at for years.

AND… Kelly benefited as well. Obviously, or we wouldn't continue to partner on projects together.

Since then, I've partnered with six other marketers on individual projects, and each experience has been more than fruitful (and it's been a LOT of fun).

Well, Kelly and I have been working on an online project together to help others have the same successes that we've had partnering with other business owners. And, we just wrapped it up.

I hope you'll check it out, if you're serious about growing online joint projects.

www.EasyPartnerships.com

As always, thanks for reading.

Nicole

PS. Please share your partnership stories below. I'd love to hear about them — both the good and the bad.

Nicole here, on a Saturday morning. (Sometimes I get a bee in my bonnet and just have to write!)

The #2 most common roadblock in this discussion –
http://nicoleonthenet.com/2007/whats-stopping-you/ seems to be TIME. The one thing that we can not make more of.

Now, I am certainly NOT an expert in time management. In fact, some days, I run around like a crazy woman, myself. However, here are a few things I have learned that have saved me oodles of time.

1. Freezer cooking. (Sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?)
If you've never tried freezer cooking or once a month cooking, you must. My rationale is that it takes me about the same time to make 8 lasagnas as it does 1, so why not make 8 and put 7 of them into the
freezer?

Here's an article I wrote on the topic: Freezer Cooking: Save Time and Money

Unfortunately, I subscribe to Once a Month Cleaning, too, but… we don't need to get into THAT! eek!

2. The other thing I'm really trying to do is create a list of 6 things every morning that I want to accomplish. And, three of them have to be directly connected to money-making activities. (Not answering emails or learning, but actual money time.) So far it's working. I know that, if I start my day by doing ONE thing that will make me money, then I can relax and go through anything else that needs to be done.

3. The third thing I've been doing more of is Outsourcing. As much as I'd like to do it all myself, I know it's not possible anymore with the size of my business. So, I have helpers (who are amazing!) and help me from going from the “mostly-sane” mom that I am to a “totally-nuts mom”.

I'd also like to point you to my resident Time Management expert, Janice Ferrante, The Queen of KAOS. You can read several of her articles at – Time Management Tips

I also have a quick favor to ask. If you could, please share your favorite Time Tips below. I'm sure we have much to learn from each other.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Nicole

PS. I also wanted to remind everyone who signed up for http://www.ListandTrafficNow.com that Jimmy changes the monthly course on the first of the month. So, if you're a member, get in there and grab the goodies now before they are replaced with new goodies.
