Hey! One of the ways to make money as an affiliate is to write product reviews. You guys see me do it here all the time, except I don't normally say “this is a review”. But, I still do it.

Here are some examples:

Social Adr Review

NAMS Marketing Conference (Atlanta) Review

Roboform Review

I even teach a course about how to start a review blog for profit.

How Sharing your Opinion Can Make you Money

Heck I give away free reviews with PLR rights here:

Free PLR Product Reviews

Why?

Because reviews work.

So, when my good friends Loretta & Lisa opened a PLR site that specializes in creating product reviews that you can use as drafts to write your own — I thought, cool!

And, when they offered me a guest blog post on the topic, I agreed. Please click on my affiliate links below to check out what they've got. Thanks!

Why Product Reviews are
a Great Way to Generate Affiliate Sales
by Loretta and Lisa at ProductReviewPLR.com

Posting product reviews on your website or blog can definitely help increase your affiliate sales. This is why it is considered as a remarkable strategy for you, as an affiliate marketer.

First of all, most people (that is, prospective clients) are drawn to these written evaluations of the product. More often than not, the reviews are easier to understand than the actual description of the product that they read on the website. The reviews are more informative in nature.

Besides that, most people will trust something that has been written by actual clients. When they see all positive, raving product reviews, they will think that it has been done by the manufacturers themselves. However, when they see something sincerely written – showing both the good and the bad, they will believe it and base their decisions on that.

Now, that does not mean that there should always be negative notes about whatever it is that you are selling. It is just that you really cannot cheat or lie. Most consumers are pretty smart nowadays. Honesty appeals to them really well – whether the review is written with a positive or negative tone.

If you are not using product reviews to generate affiliate sales yet, you can start right now. This is not really difficult as long as you know how to go about it. Here are 4 tips to get you started.

1. You have to know who will read the reviews.

It is like knowing how to attract your target market when you are selling your product. In this case, you are pre-selling something through the review that you are writing. They have to be interested enough with what you have written so that they will consider the product being sold. If you're a frequent blogger or writer on the topic then I hope you already have this step completed and know your audience or are in the process of getting to know them.

2. Next, you want to be well-acquainted with what you are selling.

People can see if you are just writing something for the sake of product reviews or if you have actually used the product. Let me say it again: a sense of genuineness is important here. While you may not actually use each and every product yourself, it's helpful to see the product or at least research the product enough to answer basic questions on it. Don't go into promotion blindly.

3. You will want to go in-depth about with your write-up.

This will show how familiar you are with the product. But take note: it would be best if you focus on the benefits rather than just enumerating the features.

Be honest, too. If there is something wrong with it, state that as well. Even if you are the owner, you have to remember that you are reviewing the product right now. You are not selling it.

Note from Nicole: The more honest I am about products that I talk about – including the bad parts — the more I sell. My good friend, Lynn Terry, actually wrote a terrible review for a product. (I mean that the review stated that the product was terrible.) She sold TONS just because people wanted to see how bad it really was.

4. Most business owners in this field aren’t that good in constructing product reviews.

That is the reason why they hire ghost writers to do the job for them. However, this is a pretty expensive undertaking. If you know that you can't afford outsourcing, you might want to try PLRs or Private Label Rights. With PLR, you can quickly get great pre-written product reviews that you can edit to make your own – in minutes.

Again, take note of what your prospective consumers want to see. Remember, they are drawn by honesty. If you will be using this strategy and want to earn from it, you have to put yourself in your customer's shoes and start from there.

Note from Nicole: This may sound counterintuitive, so let me jump in. You buy the PLR as a starting point to get the basic facts in place. Then, edit it to add your own experiences and opinions to the reviews. Make sense?

Hi I’m back with another “FREE Money-Making Content for You” Friday!

Friday is the day where I give you free content that you can use — and profit!

Today, I have a new rebrandable report. It's called “PLR FAQ for Bloggers”

Here's an excerpt:

Let's talk shortcuts. We all have limited hours in the day, so how can we get more done in less time? PLR is one of my absolute favorite shortcuts for
any online business owner. Unfortunately it sometimes gets a bad rap and is oftentimes confusing to bloggers.

Awhile back I asked my readers to send in their biggest questions about using PLR in their businesses. I answered them all in this document.

I hope it is helpful!

Again, you can read it here:

“PLR FAQ for Bloggers”

To Rebrand the report, see instructions below. There are two opportunities to profit with this report.
Just follow these instructions .

1. Open this .exe rebrander file. Your security settings may ask you to confirm that you DO want to run this .exe file before you can open it. It’s an “all in one” rebrander, so it’s much easier than the old style ones.

2. Click on each program that you’d like and enter your affiliate ID. Neither is required, but that’s how you earn money.

your_Clickbank_ID – This is your username for Clickbank.

EasyPLRID – This is your ID for the EasyPLR.com affiliate program. Learn more here.

3. Next, click the “Rebrand” button.

4. A pop-up will ask where you want to save the new file. Save it somewhere you can find it.

5. Please open and check the rebranded pdf to make sure everything branded correctly. Just open that pdf and mouse-over the links inside. Also, click on one or two of the links inside to ensure everything is working as it should be.

6. Now the fun starts! Spread that report all over the internet for maximum exposure and profits!

If you've never done this before, here's a video that I recorded for another rebrandable report that demonstrates how the software works:
Example How the Branding Software Works

Of course, if you have any questions, contact my help desk and we'll help you out. (Please include your Clickbank ID and any other links if you need help with branding.)

That's it for today. Have a great weekend!

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

Hi. It's Nicole Dean from EasyPLR.com with a gift for you that I know you'll love.

Today I have some free PLR articles to share with you.

Here's the story….

My friend and mentor, Jimmy D. Brown, has, for the past 10 years
provided QUALITY training for internet marketers. I've been his student
myself since 2005, paying every single month to learn from him.

Yes, he's THAT good. And, he's taught MANY of today's present day
“gurus” much of what they know.

So, obviously it's pretty shocking when he releases PLR rights
to that same content.

However, I realize that not everyone is aware of how awesome Jimmy is,
so I asked him for some free PLR samples to share with you.

Of course, being the good guy he is, he said “yes”.

So, here are three totally free PLR articles that you are welcome to use,
written by the man himself:
FREE PLR Articles from Jimmy D. Brown

I'm back with another “FREE Content for Your Blog” Friday!

What is “Free Content Friday”? It's exactly what it says – I'll post free content every week that you can publish on your blog.

Some of the content that I post here will come with PLR rights. Others will come with reprint rights. Either way, it’s free stuff (articles, reports, audios, videos) that you can post on your blog/website or publish in your ezines (and most will include the opportunity to earn some money).

If you missed last week, I posted this free PLR article: What Are 4 Things a Blogger Can Outsource?

If you’d like to learn more about what PLR is and how you can use it in your online business – and stock up on some high quality content, I recommend you swing by www.EasyPLR.com for more info.

ok. Here’s the article. See rules/rights for how you can use it in your business (on your blog, ezine, etc.) at the end.

Virtual Assistants: 4 Ways to Get More Clients Today!

Alternate Titles:
Ghostwriters/Designers/Copywriters/Service Providers/Freelancers:
4 Ways to Get More Business/Clients/Traffic (Now/Today/Immediately)

If you’re a Virtual Assistant (substitute ghostwriter, designer, copywriter, service provider, freelancer), you know that the one thing that keeps your income steady, is a finding clients. Luckily, there are several ways to keep a steady stream of clients coming in through your door.

Here are just a few:

1. Advertise in Ezines.
There are online newsletters everywhere that accept advertising. The key is to purchase advertising in publications that reach your target market and to create your ad to showcase your expertise. Don’t try to be everything to everyone or you won’t attract clients.

Ad Example of what Not to Write: “Hire me to lighten your workload. I can do everything that you don’t want to do. Let’s talk!”

Ad Example of what works: “Are you ready to get more leads to your business? I will handle your ezine advertising campaign for you. No more searching for targeted ezines, no more writing and tracking your ads. I’ll handle it all it all. My clients experience a boost in subscribers after I complete my ezine advertising campaigns that will pay for my services. Check out my website for testimonials and free tips.”

Recommended Resource: Check out the Directory of Ezines to find Ezines for you (or your client) to advertise in.

2. Write and Submit Articles.
The key is to stay on topic. Don’t write and submit articles about health or pet care. Present a problem in your article and solve it. Make sure your author bio is very compelling to attract potential clients.

Recommended Resource: If you've never tried article marketing, I'd suggest this course to get started – www.EasyArticleMarketing.com

3. Network where *successful* people hang out.
A huge mistake that VA’s make is to hang out on forums where there are other people struggling to make money. Instead, join a membership site for your target market and you’ll find yourself in the "inner circle"

Recommended Resource: The best place to meet new clients is live and in person. The event that I recommend you attend first is NAMS.

4. Advertise at Shelancers.com.
One of the easiest ways to get your name in front of business owners looking for help is to join Shelancers.com.

Again, it is crucial that you list your specialty in order to stand out from the other service providers. But, if you can find a problem that business owners face, and offer to handle it for them, you’ll attract loyal clients who will continue to work with you.

These are just a few of the ways you can boost your client base quickly. What are some of your favorite methods? Please share them below.

Welcome to my latest series – Expert Briefs.

So, let's jump in.

The question I asked our experts today is:

“What's your opinion of PLR?
Do you use PLR in your business? How?”

We'll see who's brave enough to fess up.

But before we dig in, here's a quick video about PLR:

Hopefully you can see why PLR is helpful. However, if you don't quite understand it fully, here are some articles to help:

What Can You Do With PLR Articles?
How to Choose a Good PLR Service?
PLR vs. Free Reprint Articles
PLR vs. Ghostwritten Articles

And, here are our expert replies.

Shannon Cherry of The Power Publicist says:

It's the ‘dirty' little secret that the gurus don't want you to know about. It's PLR and they all use it.

So why is it ‘dirty'? (Well it really isn't… more on this in a moment.) Basically, it's because the gurus want to give you the illusion that they are always original… that they work hard for their money.

You see, PLR is a great way to get content without having to create it from scratch. I, like a lot of folks out there, discovered that PLR can be the basis of blog posts, articles, ebooks and teleseminars and even products. It saves me time, and you know that time is money.

The key is not to use the PLR ‘as is', although you can do that, when you are really strapped for time. What you need to do change it to match your own voice and what your target audience expects from you.

And seeing how lucrative PLR is for Nicole with EasyPLR.com, I was inspired to create my own for press releases, which has been very successful.

Susanne Myers of EasyLinkLove.com (<-click to learn about link building) says:

Yes, I use quite a bit of PLR in my business and I like it a lot. There are a few different ways that I use it in.

1) For smaller sites that are generated mainly to create Google Adsense and affiliate income, I use plr articles as blog posts. I do a bit of keyword research and write a new title. I also rework the first paragraph so the content is more unique and includes my keyword again. After that, depending on ROI and how much time and energy I have that particular day, I will try to do a bit more rewriting to make the content unique.

2) For my bigger money sites, I like to use plr as an idea generator for new content. I also like to take several related plr articles and turn them into a special report that can then be given away to entice people to join my list. I also like to create brandable reports from PLR that I can give my affiliates to help promote my products.

3) Last but not least I use good quality PLR as part of my products. I have used it as part of membership sites and even build entire ebooks around plr. Of course I add plenty of additional, unique high quality content to make it a complete ebook.

And, here's my 2 cents. I wrote this before reading the others just to make sure I wouldn't let their ideas sway mine.

Nicole Dean of .. here! .. says:

I sure do.

I use it just as I teach it to be used – to shortcut your time spent working – and to enhance the end product.

But, I'm picky. In fact, I've been called a “PLR Snob” on a few occasions because … well, I am one. There's too much junk out there on the internet and my mission has always been “to make the web and the world a better place” – so I can't use junk PLR obviously or I'd be spitting in the face of my own mission.

My favorite ways to use PLR are …

1. Sales Pages.
I really dislike writing sales pages. So, before I tackle one, I'll see if I already have a PLR product that comes with one (or I'll do a quick search of my favorite PLR sites to see if I can find one). If so, I may buy it just for the sales page and use that as my rough draft and just edit from there. I'll outsource sales pages if I don't, but.. if I do have one, then I can usually just tweak the page and be off and running.

2. Niche sites.
I give PLR to my writers to enhance and improve before adding it to my niche sites. (For instance, I have a recipe site and have my writers get my PLR from www.YummyPLR.com and add it to my recipe site each month.) Because of PLR, I have several sites that make me money and have for years – with no effort on my part.

3. Products.
Yes, I've used PLR to create infoproducts. I take a PLR ebook and use it as my outline and rough draft and dig in. Oftentimes it can shortcut the process – and I have a better product because I don't have to try to come up with the entire concept from scratch. The end result is completely unrecognizable from the original after I add all my good stuff – plus, I add videos and supporting bonuses. But it's so much easier to write from a draft, if you're starting with a good piece, than to try to outline the report from scratch.

4. Bonuses for my own products.
When I create a product, I like to include supporting bonuses to help the customer to get results. So, I'll look through the PLR that I have to see if anything really stands out as an extra resource that will benefit my customers. If I find one, then I'll rework it and include it as a special bonus for customers.

5. Bonuses when recommending a product as an affiliate.
When I send out a promotion to my lists for a product that I really think they should buy, I'll oftentimes create an added bonus that I create from a PLR piece to offer those who buy through my affiliate link. It adds value to the customer and allows me to show my gratitude.

Of course there are many other ways to use PLR. That's just a few ways that I regularly use it.

My friend, Ronnie, created a report with more ways to use PLR that you can grab free here: 101 Ways to Use PLR

How Can You Learn More about PLR?

Well, I happen to run one of the most respected PLR sites on the ‘net and have since 2006 – so… I know a thing or two on the topic.

Well, I haven't done a cross-blog conversation in awhile, so I'm really looking forward to this.

If you're unfamiliar with a cross-blog conversation, basically, it's a conversation that stretches across two (or more) blogs. I had a cross-blog conversation with Lynn Terry ages ago – before we hardly knew each other, and also a cross blog conversation with Kelly McCausey, around the same time.

So, it's time for another.

I'm very excited for this cross-blog conversation as I'll be chatting with Trish Lindemood, who I recently met online at Lynn Terry's Elite Mastermind Group. I was immediately impressed with Trish's professionalism and took note of her. So, when she asked me to cross-blog, I didn't hesitate a second to say “yes”.

Here's how this thing works….

Trish started on her blog here: Cross Blog Conversation with Nicole Dean

In it, she asked two questions about PLR articles. So now, I will answer them here and ask her a question. She'll answer my question on her blog and ask me another. Her questions can be about anything she'd like.

We'll volley back and forth like a tennis ball a few times and then either I'll pass on to someone else or she will.

You get to listen in and comment. Sound good?

Let's get to it:

Hi Trish,

Thanks so much for the nice words about my blog. I'd never really considered myself a blogger, until I started to be recognized by others as such. All of a sudden I received nominations for awards and I thought “hmm.. maybe I am a blogger”. So, I certainly appreciate your comments. They do mean a lot to me. And, yes, I do strive to have fun blogging, as you've mentioned with my Weird Website Wednesdays.

Yes, I am very proud of EasyPLR.com – and the fact that I've been able to continue to grow a strong customer base because of the quality that we offer and the limited distribution. As PLR sites seem to be popping up around every corner, that's been what has made us stand apart since we opened our doors in 2006.

As for your questions, you asked –

1.) What “rights” come with the purchase of Private Label Rights content? – and what can’t you do with it?

That's a great question. The rights vary by PLR provider and can range from pretty strict rules to completely unlimited usage, depending on the whim of the PLR seller. So be sure to check the rights that come with any PLR that you purchase to make sure you don't inadvertently break any rules.

The rules at EasyPLR.com fall somewhere in the middle. I've set our rules so that our PLR retains its value, but so that the rights aren't so strict that you feel like you're not getting to use the PLR as you'd like.

Here's a quick summary of What Can NOT Be Done With the Articles from EasyPLR.com:

*You may not use any content from any EasyPLR.com package as part of another PLR product or offer PLR rights to any content purchased at EasyPLR.com.

*You may not distribute the articles through a free reprint directory. (This is against terms of service for most article directories.)

Obviously, if our customers were to sell PLR rights to our articles to others – it would totally negate the value of offering limited distribution rights on our site, which is why that's a big “no-no” for us.

2.) Other than adding new content to your site, what are some other ways PLR content can be used to build your business?

Here are some ideas for what you Can Do with our Private Label Rights Articles:

*You can change & edit the articles as you wish.
*You can use these articles in your newsletter.
*You can use these articles in your autoresponder.
*You can use these articles in your membership site.
*You can use them in a free eCourse
*You can use them in a free Special Report.
*You can use them in a free eBook.
*You can use them in a paid product.

We have others use the content in offline training, and even some clever marketers who convert the articles into audio and video. One marketer turned plr content into a coffee table book.

As with most things, we're really only limited by our imagination.

In our conversation at the elite group, you brought up a very good question, so I'll ask it:

Why would a professional writer who makes her living writing for others support the use of PLR?

It's obvious that you're a highly skilled copywriter, so why would you support PLR when it's looked down upon by so many others in your profession?

Looking forward to your reply.

Warmly,
Nicole

PS. Be sure to check Trish's blog: Web Copy Results for her response.

I'm still receiving a lot of questions from people, confused about PLR articles and how to use them in your business. I decided it was time to clear the fog on this topic.

Last week, bright and early, Kelly and I got on the phone and recorded a one hour training call all about how YOU can use PLR articles in your online business.

You can listen to the call free. There are no long distance charges even.

Just swing by http://www.easyplr.com/free-plr-audio.htm and click on the mp3 link shown on the page.
(If you have very slow internet connection, “right click” on the link and save the mp3 file to your computer instead.)

We answered these questions:
–> What are Private Label Right's Articles?
–> Why would someone want to use PLR articles when they could use free reprint articles for free?
–> What are some ways that people can use PLR articles for their businesses?
–> How much rewriting should someone do to a PLR article?
–> How would you compare using PLR to hiring a personal ghostwriter for your content?
–> What are some creative ways to use PLR content?

Again, the link is http://www.easyplr.com/free-plr-audio.htm

Enjoy!
Nicole

PS. You are more than welcome to share the link with your friends.
We don't mind a bit.

PS — again. If you still have questions about PLR, please post them on my blog below.
