I also want to make sure you're aware that there is some seriously frustrating stuff happening on Twitter right now. Please do not click on any links that you receive via Direct Message (even if they come from someone you know). And, if you DO click through a link, don't log into your Twitter account from the page you land on.

It's all an effort to gain access to your Twitter account.

Here's the definition of Pfishing from Wikipedia.org

Phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Communications purporting to be from popular social web sites, auction sites, online payment processors or IT administrators are commonly used to lure the unsuspecting public. Phishing is typically carried out by e-mail or instant messaging,[1] and it often directs users to enter details at a fake website whose look and feel are almost identical to the legitimate one.

It's the same as getting an email from your bank – or any bank, including paypal. You have NO idea if the email is actually coming from your bank. You should always assume it's not.

Do NOT click through the link in your email to log in. Go to a new window, and type in the URL directly. Otherwise, you have no idea who you're giving your logins (and bank funds) to.

It's funny (funny, meaning odd, not humorous) because I'd just written a report about how to protect your online business. I just wish it wasn't so timely.

I wrote it because I discovered that my coaching clients and friends were gambling with their businesses and didn't even realize it. Scary stuff, if your online business is feeding you and your family.

Anyway, I don't have a big spiel. If you're interested in protecting your online business, you can learn more about it here:

Day Two of the Computer Butt Challenge has begun. We're at more than 15 people who’ve signed up for Scott’s program so far, and several more who will be doing other exercises along with us.

I slept in this morning – until 10:30 – so I think my poor muscles needed a little extra recovery. Either that or I was just cozy and hiding from today's exercise already!

Quote from Home Office Quickie Workout Scott:

I can’t wait to look in the mirror when I get out of the shower.

WOW! That one cracked me up. I try to run past the mirror as fast as I can these days, slip-sliding like crazy, ESPECIALLY if I have a small towel – or NO towel!

Thanks all for being there. I've successfully gone 3 nights with not a drop of wine (or beer or anything) – and it has actually been easy because I said I'd do it here! So, keep dropping in and checking in daily so we see your progress AND your setbacks. (If you have a setback, it's ok. Like Scott says, we're not perfect, so just get back up and keep going.)

If you're not signed up yet, join us by clicking here:

Let's find 10 minutes every day to get healthier so we can enjoy the LIFESTYLE that we're working towards.

((hugs)) to all.
Nicole

PS. Post your progress, concerns, videos, audios, and cross-blog posts in the comments below and I will too, as soon as I do my exercises.

Yesterday, I sent you a quick note about the free Business and Learning Expo next week. Be sure to sign up so you can access all the goodies!
CLICK here to register for the Expo

After I sent the message yesterday, I received several emails from Moms asking how they can host an online expo like this. I immediately went to my friend, Marie, who is an expert in hosting online events. Here is an article she wrote about the topic. Enjoy!

3 Types of Online Events You Can Host

There are a few different types of online events one can host and it will depend on the online event host’s purpose for hosting the event. Below are 3 of the more common types of online events.

1. Online Event showcasing exhibitors – This type on online event is where exhibitors showcase products that they are offering. They can offer discounts during the online event. The online event host has exhibitor booths available during this event. The FOCUS of this kind of events is EXHIBITORS.

2. Online Event showcasing guest speakers and exhibitors – In this type of online event, all participants benefit from learning some information from guest speakers. Exhibitors are also there to offer products and specials. There is a schedule of events as far as seminars/workshops being offered and there are exhibitor booths available during the event. The FOCUS on this kind of events is providing information via GUEST SPEAKERS and EXHIBITORS.

3. Online Event showcasing the host’s expertise. – For this type of online event, the host can look for sponsors for the event to help cover the costs of holding the event. There is a schedule of events
for the workshops being offered by the host but there are NO exhibitor booths available during the event. Exposure is offered to sponsors of the event via text link on the online event site. The online event host is giving sponsors exposure to the audience that she is marketing the online event to.

Before you decide to host an online event, decide on what type of online event you would like to have. Once you figure that out, you will have an easier time planning out your event. You will know what your online event focuses on and you will have an idea on how much to charge your sponsors or exhibitors.

Marie Ynami has been hosting successful interactive online events since 2004.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
For those who aren't subscribed to my newsletter, here are the main topics I covered this week!

Question of the Week – Getting Traffic
Question: My website (http://www.SloCountyMoms.com) was created last year by a web designer. She maintains the site for me and I have absolutely NO knowledge of anything having to do with web construction or maintenance. I have very good results with people who have visited my site and asked to be contacted, but my problem is driving more traffic to my site. I do quite a bit of online advertising, but I'm thinking maybe I need to branch out from WAHM site and start advertising on other types of sites. Any ideas? I'm drawing a blank as to what other types of sites I can advertise on. Or, is there a better way to drive traffic to my site?

Read the response … Getting Traffic

Send in or call in your questions .. (214) 231-2905 x4487 – If I can't help, I'll find someone who can.

Are You a Positive Person?
Attitude determines Success more than anything else. If you truly believe you can Succeed and work through all the Challenges in your way, you'll achieve your goals.
Enjoy this article provided by Marie of MommyCommunity.com — ** It's Your Choice – Will you be a Positive Patty or a Negative Nellie? **

Have a successful week!
