Welcome back to Productivity Week. Today's the last day of this sneak peek. I sure hope you liked it!

Here’s my day so far…

1. Got up and got everyone out the door. Then was a little lazy and played a few games of FreeCell.

2. Checked on Facebook & Email for emergencies while drinking coffee.

3. Checked on sales from yesterdays promos to see how they did.

4. Poked around on http://fiverr.com for a bit.

5. Made and ate breakfast. Eggs with roasted veggies today.

Now, I'm ready to rock and roll.

To do next…

1. Finish this blog post.

2. Mail EasyPLR.com lists something cool.

3. Finish writing this month’s Income CPR lesson today. It's turning into a beast. YIKES.

4. Post a “Free Content for your Blog” Friday.

5. Answer the interview requests that I got to promote ContentDrafts.com today so they can go live next week.

6. Possibly mail affiliates or friends personally about BlogCPR.com to see what I can do to help them promote. If not this week, then next.

7. Set up a coupon for a promo for a JV partner who wants to promote.

8. Connect with a coaching client who requested a phone call.

9. Possibly train on the new help desk with my techie gal today.

How’s your day going? What’s on your agenda?

Please post your to-do list for today as well as your progress. Looking forward to it!

Hugs and high fives,
N

Hi! And, happy Tuesday.

I talk a lot about my best bud (and uber smart marketer), Susanne Myers. And, that I trust her with my friendship and my business. My mom works for her. So, I guess you could say that I trust her with my mother, too.

Well, a few months ago, Susanne sent the same promo email (promoting an affiliate offer) to both her leads list and also to her list of customers.

She tracked the sales to see how many purchased the affiliate offer.

The results were just as I suspected.

-> Only 2% of her leads purchased.
-> While *30%* of her customers purchased.

That's a huge difference! And, I agree that it's accurate because I see the exact same thing happening in my business.

My customer list is one of my two most valuable lists. (Want to know my other most valuable list? My affiliates and JV partners!)

While I value my leads very much – a much larger portion of my income comes from my customers. They are proven repeat buyers.

Do you have a customer list? If not, it's about time you get one.

Susanne has put together a system showing how you can, using her method.

I'd recommend you check this out asap and apply the info to your business.

Here's the link.
Get a List of People who BUY!

You'll also get these bonuses:

Bonus #1: Don't Make These 10 Mistakes When Creating Info Products
Bonus #2: The 20 Minute Sales Letter
Bonus #3: Increase Sales Conversion With This Checklist
Bonus #4: Killer Strategy To Get More Traffic From Article Marketing

Check it out if you're interested:

Earn More Affiliate Income.

Have a fantastic day! You deserve it.

And, thank you, again, for sharing my day with me.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

PS. Please share your thoughts on this topic. My coaching clients oftentimes ignore their customers and focus on their leads only. It's a mind-shift that can make the difference between 4 figures per year and 6 figures per year. Seriously. Talk to me…

One of my LEAST favorite tasks to do is researching online. (I usually outsource it to my helpers.)

Have you ever tried to research other sites that might be interested in being affiliates for you?

Or find places to advertise?

Or look for sites where you could be a guest blogger?

Or track down JV partners?

It's a royal pain in the butt. But, now, it'll be a lot easier, thanks to Neil Shearing who invented the “Internet Success Spider” software.

In December 2008 he took his Spider software off the market, despite having sold over $300,000 worth!

Neil then improved the software and relaunched it as a FREE download.

See for yourself. Just click here to get your free copy of this software.

I strongly suggest you go and grab a copy of the Spider right now, in case Neil changes his mind – if you're ever planning to research advertising, competition, JV partners, or find affiliates in the near future.

All you have to do is download the free software, type in a few keywords (or the link of a competitor), then it'll search and spit out your results. Save the info and start contacting the sites or print it out.

Click here.

I already grabbed my free copy and am playing with it now, too.

I hope you enjoy this freebie.

Warmly,
Nicole

PS. Some ways that I'll be using this software are…
1. Contacting sites who might be interested in being interviewed.
2. Contacting sites that might be interested in interviewing me.
3. Contacting sites that might wish to donate to contests.
4. Contacting sites that might like my prizes donated to their contests.
5. Contacting sites that might like to be affiliates for me.
6. Contacting sites that might like to publish my articles.
7. Contacting sites that might like my rebrandable reports.
8. Contacting sites to offer an added bonus to their download or thank you pages.

And, that's just off the top of my head. What are you using it for?

I've been a bad friend. My gal-pal, Kelly McCausey, is celebrating her 5th Birthday online at WahmTalkRadio.com and I haven't announced it yet. oops!

I couldn't be prouder or happier for her. She's been the voice of WAHMs online — a protective guard-dog as well as an encouraging big sis for many of us over the last 5 years, and I'm proud to call her my friend. I always know Kelly will tell me the truth and I appreciate her so much for it. She's also been a supportive business partner over the years and we've learned from each other through working together. You go girl!!!

Swing by and grab the great freebies she has to offer, listen to her show, and, if you would, post a shout out to her below in the comments section to cheer her on for her next 5 years – I'd really appreciate it!

ALSO, speaking of Kelly, she's got a cool barter-swap over at Sparkpluggin. If you want to trade VA hours for ghostwriter hours or get a press release in trade for candles — swing by there. Bartering is one of the coolest ways to save money in your business. No cash out of your pocket – and the potential to JV with other businesses owners. Have a look and see if there are any win-wins for you.

That's it for now. Have a wonderful week!

Warmly,
Nicole

If you can come up with a scenario that will benefit both parties, and you make it silly for the other person to say “no”, usually you end up with a profitable JV in the end.

However, if you just go to another person and say “Do this for me…” — GOOD LUCK!

You will absolutely not believe this latest one…

I was asked to do a written interview. No biggie. I do those all the time. Oh shoot. That reminds me that I haven't sent one back yet to my buddy Tracy. Tracy, if you're reading this, I haven't forgotten!

I have to say that I do a pretty good written interview, too. I take my time and put together a nice resource for the person — and in trade, I normally get a few links back to my website. Fair enough, right?

WELL… an editor for a website contacted me for an interview and I wrote it up. I then went to their website to see what it'll look like. (Yes, I should have gone there first, but I didn't…) There were no links to the author. None at all.

So, I'm thinking that maybe these were unique situations and the people didn't have websites? I asked and the response I got was …

Our focus is on the content, keeping it interesting and helpful for our affiliate readers. That is the main and only reason we publish interviews and articles. This is hence not a way for us to get free content and backlinks, why I had not considered offering that when we contacted you for an interview. I apologize if I was not clear on this and I hope that we can work this out. I contacted you because I think your experience in the business can teach our readers a lot.

Huh?! Of course, I replied very kindly saying “Yes, I'm very glad to share information, BUT… I normally don't donate my time to other webmasters with nothing in return.”

I donate my time to my church and my kids' school and to my friends who need it and to organizations that I believe in. I'll give products of mine to online events that donate their proceeds to charities.

However, I'm not writing a 3 page interview and giving it to someone without even a link to my website in reference. Hello?!

ok. End of rant.

Has anyone else run into this type of situation before? I mean, I do anywhere from 3-5 interviews per week and I always have been given something in return. I'm feeling a little taken advantage of right now. Can you tell? Glad I haven't sent the interview back yet!

Thanks for listening!
Nicole

This is my response to the first question in my private conversation with Kelly McCausey.

Click here to read Kelly's Question.

Continue to read my response…

Hey Kel,

I still can't believe the last few years. I look back to when we first met during your WAHM MVP Contest. I think the nominations started in December of 2004. Wow. Has it really been that long? And, then, you invited me on your show. Remember how scared I was? You had to talk me into the interview, because I was just terrified. That interview was hilarious. I was so nervous that I giggled like crazy! I still can't believe you ever asked me back after that first interview.

After that contest ended, I joined Mom Masterminds (Feb 2005), strictly for the chance to get to know you better. (Didn't know I was a stalker, did you? lol.) Once I was in there, I was so happy to realize that you are truly as genuine as you seemed on your show. I then made it a point to keep the door open for a real friendship.

When you asked me to partner with you on Easy Article Marketing — THAT was the one thing that boosted my business the most. I'd always said I felt like I was “clawing my way up the learning curve with bloody little fingers” but that JV with you taught me SO much about how to put a product together and market it. Heck, it taught me everything. I knew a bunch about how to run an online business and market, but I'd never put together an full course before, and I'd been kind of … scared to. I look back at that project as the major turning point in my business. Plus, of course, it showed both of us that we enjoyed working together and that we agreed on the most important aspect of any JV — putting out a high quality product. And, since then, we've done more JVs together. (Oh, that reminds me… we need to finish up www.EasyPartnerships.com .)

You asked if I ever look back and wonder how I got where I am? Hmm… I pretty much know how I got here. A TON of sweat, keeping my integrity throughout my business, and developing friendships with other women with similar goals to mine. But, did I ever in a million years think I'd be working with Jimmy D. Brown? Oh, HECK NO. It's a dream job. You know I gush about him all the time. He's just the best! Talk about someone to aspire to. He's got the business smarts and he's kept his integrity throughout the years. He's just a really good guy with a big heart. I'm hoping to have dinner with him and his family next week since he'll be in the neighborhood. We missed each other last time he was in town, so we'll see if our schedules work this time or not. But, if you'd asked me even three years ago if I would be this successful today? I'd have said “I sure hope so!” but I wouldn't have bet the farm on it.

As for your question. Hmm… What have I learned most about myself in the last year? I think I've learned to look at myself differently, if that makes sense. Even back in February, when I first started working with Jimmy, I was *very* timid to give him ideas. Now, I just toss ideas out there. He says “Go” and I run with them. Also, a year ago, my goals were lower than they are now. I wanted to make a certain amount per month. Now, my goal is $20-25K/month profit after paying my helpers. I figure, why not set my goals to where I actually want them to be instead of where I think they can be? So, I guess, to answer your question, the one thing I learned about myself in the last year is that I am an expert in my field, and my time is worth more money than I was charging, and that I do have a heck of a lot to offer someone when I do consulting with them. Of course, that's kind of a moot point since I'm not taking any clients right now, but still… So, I guess it's just another level of confidence. I lacked confidence for that first interview with you. And, I still struggle with it. But, I do know now that I can charge a higher hourly rate or a high percentage of sales for my time and not bat an eye doing it because I'm worth it. I also know that I'm quite good at branding and coming up with catchy, fun sites. I'm a very good writer. I know that I'm a heck of a good marketer. And, I know that I'm an expert in several areas of Internet Marketing. (And, a year ago, I probably wouldn't have been able to type all of that with a straight face.) So, I'd say it's still that darned confidence, Kelly. You once referred to me as your “much scared friend” at the beginning of one of my first interviews. I think that “much scared” person is now holding her own. And, much of that, my friend, is due to you.

You said that I amaze you? Well, ditto, to you. I actually have a question for you that I've been wanting to ask you forever on this exact topic.

Ever since I've known you, you *always* seem so together, so confident, so sure of everything that you do. On your show, you just exude confidence. And, when you see a “wrong” in the work at home mom community, you are the first one to call it, even though you know there'll be a back-lash. It doesn't even seem to phase you to put yourself out there as a target. Are you really that confident all the time in business and in personal life? And, were you always that confident or is it something you learned over time? And, if you learned it… any tips for me? It may be an odd question, but, it's something I've always wanted to know about you.
Well, it's 6:44am and my day is now about to start. Enough time on the computer. I have to go give my kiddos and my Joe their morning kisses and wake them up.

I'll chat with you soon, girlfriend.

N

(Keep an eye on Kelly's blog for her reply.)

Last week, I mentioned that Kelly McCausey and I are working on a new course all about partnering (also known as Joint Ventures).

Honestly, my own business really took off the day I decided to do a joint venture with a friend — and each partnership since then has boosted my business even further.

A partnership may sound scary, but there are really a lot of ways to work with others in a mutually beneficial way.

* Blogs
* Websites
* Infoproducts
* Teleseminars
* Membership sites
* Special Reports
* Podcasts
* Forums
* Affiliate Programs

Kelly and I want to answer your questions about Partnering and Joint Ventures.

Stop by http://www.easypartnerships.com and leave us your #1 question about partnering. We'll be holding a teleseminar and we want to make sure to answer your most pressing questions in it.

Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
Why haven't you done a JV yet?
What's holding you back?
What's confusing you about working with someone else on a project?

Go ahead… ask. It's anonymous so don't be shy! http://www.easypartnerships.com

Have a wonderful weekend!
