Hi! I hope you're having a wonderful day.

If you're NOT having a good day, then I have the coolest thing for you.

My friend Rachel Rofe just wrote a very interesting guide called “Never Have a Bad Day Again“.

When I first heard about it, I thought “oh airy fairy stuff” and wasn't really interested. But then I read the sales page and thought that for under 10 bucks, I'd support my friend and maybe learn a thing or two.

I bought the course, started reading and literally had tears running down my face in minutes. And not from laughing.

You might look at Rachel and think “Of course she's never had a bad day, just look at her. She smart, pretty, thin, funny, financially stable and travels the world. Why should she ever have a bad day?”

Well, her past is, for lack of better word, ugly.

Cold, hard, and ugly.

And, yet, she is the epitome of joy – even when things go wrong, and they do.

After reading her course, I now see how she does it.

I had the chance to look at the world through Rachel's eyes – and I like it.

You can too: Click here to grab your copy of “Never Have a Bad Day”.

Her course is quick to go through, has several fun exercises where you choose how to react to different scenarios, like getting honked at rudely, finding out you owe a huge bill, and having your car break down – and see how you could face these situations with grace and joy.

I asked Rachel a few questions and she was kind enough to reply. You can read that short interview below.

Nik: Rachel, what do you say to people who say “Of course you're happy, just look at you. You're pretty, you're thin, you travel, and you're successful financially. I'm not like you.”

Rachel: Thin? That's a stretch. lol

But seriously, everyone has a story. Everyone has dealt with hardships. Nobody has a ‘perfect' life.

I've definitely dealt with my share of things. In 2012 alone, I was married, annulled 7 months later, moved several times, broke up with my business partner, had major health challenges, and a slew of other unpleasant things. All in the course of a year.

So the same things happen to me, I just choose to look at everything as an opportunity. I think, “Why did this happen for my highest good? What's the blessing here?”

I'm sure you've heard countless times about people seeing things as blessings in disguises later on. So I just look for what the blessing is in the moment.

Even if someone doesn't want to do that, my boyfriend has really good advice: “Deal with it or don't let it bother you.”

To me, that only makes sense. We have the power of choosing how we want to respond to things… why not choose the most empowering perspective?

And as a side note, sometimes I feel like the people with the biggest hardships almost have it easier in making change. They have more of a reason to change things, more “oomph” in their reservoir with which to pull from.

Nik: What inspired you to create this course?

Rachel: There are a few reasons.

First of all, kind of tying into #1, I feel I went through a lot of hardship partly so I could persevere and hopefully inspire people to see that you can get through anything.

Mostly, I just feel really fired up when I can help people improve their lives.

I feel like I came to this planet to help people realize they have a CHOICE in life, to really show people you can make your life whatever you want.

Nik: Can you tell me about a recent time when something went really wrong and how you made sure that it didn't ruin your day.

Rachel: As you know, “bad” things are always going to happen. It's just a matter of choosing how you're going to respond to it.

So for example, last night on the plane I spent a few hours working on a sales letter for something I wanted to launch today. I was SO HAPPY with it, hit “update” for the millionth time (I hit “update” obsessively), and my entire letter literally went missing. I couldn't find it in the WordPress revisions at all.

NOT COOL.

The first time I write something is when all the inspiration comes. Writing a second time is like trudging in mud.

In fact, I was so bothered for a few minutes that I posted about it on Facebook, which is something I ordinarily don't do.

The beauty of my posting on Facebook was that a ton of people (including you, Nicole… thank you so much!) tried to help me retrieve it. That post got 150+ comments.

So while I still haven't been able to retrieve the sales letter (though someone's looking at it), I asked myself, what can I be grateful for here?

I came up with quite a few things:

I was lucky so many people wanted to support me.

The sales letter took a few hours, not a few days, so that was a plus. (I've had my laptop stolen too ;))

I didn't need the sales letter from an income perspective, so that gave me a chance to appreciate my financial situation.

I also chose to think that maybe my second version would be even better somehow.

So I did get upset at first. I think that's important, to feel your feelings.

I think it's also important to not let one bad thing happen, then decide your day is ‘ruined', and look for (or create) other bad things to prove your point for the rest of the day.

When you focus on goodness, you find more goodness. The same is true in reverse.

Nik: Why should ALL of my readers who are in online business read your course?

Rachel: The challenge in answering this question is to limit myself to a few answers. I could go on and on and on…

First of all, do any of your readers enjoy having bad days? I'd imagine not :), and I really feel like if people go through this course and really implement it, they can literally not have bad days again.

I think the Choose Your Adventure exercises in the course really help with the power of perspective.

Besides that, it's pretty impossible to succeed online if you have an attitude where things can take down your energy levels (even if you're justified in getting upset). This course helps you operate from a place of empowerment.

The tools, if implemented, could definitely help someone take their business to a higher level… free up things they don't enjoy in their lives… and just make them happier.

I put a lot of my heart into this and really feel it's a solid value for anyone interested in improving their life in a TANGIBLE way.

Click Here to Learn How to Never Have a Bad Day Again

One more thing, I asked Rachel if I could include a excerpt from her course and she generously agreed.

This is one part that I enjoyed:

Here are a few techniques you can use to lift yourself out of a fog:

1.) The movie screen technique.

If you’re ever feeling bogged down about a situation… like you just can’t get “out” of it…

And you sure as heck can’t see why it’s happening for your highest good…

Then I want you to mentally step “out” of it.

Here’s how it works: Imagine a big movie screen outside of your head. You can see the movie screen, and you’re in it, but you’re looking at it as an observer.

Put whatever situation you’re going through onto the movie screen. See everything you’re seeing now, but from an outsider’s perspective – not as you.

Look at it like you’re somebody who has nothing to do with the situation. You’re not involved in the situation; it’s just on the movie screen.

As an outsider, what would you say about this?

– Excerpt “Never Have a Bad Day Again” by Rachel Rofe.

I hope you've enjoyed this and it's brightened your day.

So, what about you?

What do you do to get out of a funk? I would love to hear what you have to say.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

Hi again.

Want more traffic? Who doesn't, right?

If you're in the personal development, business, wahm, or marketing niche or even something similar like personal finance and debt – there's a really cool free tool that I've been testing out that I know you'll love.

Here's how it works.

Basically, you'll earn credits for doing what you're already doing – sharing great business stuff by me, Kim Roach, and a bunch of other great bloggers.

Then you use those credits to get *YOUR* stuff shared by other members via Twitter, Facebook or Google+.

Or if you want lots of people to share your stuff – you can do like it do and upgrade to buy some credits.

Here's the link -> Click to Get Free Traffic.

Is it cheating?

Well, if it were automated, I would say yes and I would steer clear of it. But these are real people who can choose what they share and what they won't share.

Plus, the members are ALL in my target market (and yours too if you reach online business owners), so I want them to see my blog, just as much as I want them to share me.

So, to me, it's totally free advertising.

Try it out. It's pretty simple – and it's free.

The main things to know are:

Personal Development, Money, Business, Marketing, and Finance types of posts seem to do best. (Not cooking or ferret training.)

When you add a page to be shared, it has to be a content page (which can contain offers, but has to provide value). So do not submit a sales page or squeeze page.

Here's how it works if you're interested…

Step 1: Go to the Site.

You go to the site by clicking here: Get Free Advertising. (The site will open in a new window.)

Step 2: Sign in With Twitter.

When you see this screen, click on “Sign in with Twitter”.

Step 3: Authorize The Site to Connect with your Twitter Account.

When you do this, you will automatically get 100 credits just for signing up.

Step 4: Submit your First Piece of Content that You Want Shared.

Here's how I do it.

1. The Tweet.
I create a tweet that's got a curiosity factor built in. You want to draw interest and attention, so be a bit clever. Be sure to include your URL to your blog post in the Tweet. (You can use Bit.ly to shorten the link if it's very long.)

Remember. The link has to go to a content page (not a sales page).

Example: How I Get People to Work for me for Free: http://bit.ly/RbwmTs

2. How many credits would you like to offer?
Go to the main dashboard to see what others are offering. When I first started, 5 credits would get interest. Now, 25 seems to be the going rate. So, quick click on “Dashboard” to see what the average is. I also consider whether the blog post that I'm linking to has monetization built in. If it's converting into sales when I sent it to my list, I'll offer more credits.

3. Maximum times to promote.
Figure out how many times you would like your post shared. (10-50 depending on your credits and how much you want/need that post to have exposure). The site will tell you how many credits that will use in total. (ie. If you are offering 25 credits per share and you say you want it shared 10 times, that will be 250 credits.)

Your credits get taken as soon as you submit your tweet. I usually go low when I submit – like saying I want the post shared 1 time, in case I goofed something up. I add more credits after it's submitted and I had a chance to test it. Plus, since you only have 100 credits, you may only be able to share a bit at first.

4. Select which Social Networks to Allow.
I select Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.

5. Minimum number of Twitter Followers to promote.
I enter 1000.

6. Category.
Choose a category that's most related to your blog post.

7. Submit.
Click to submit your content.

How to Edit your Submissions:

Let's say you decide to increase the number of credits that you're offering OR you decide you want your post shared more. On the “Submit Credits” tab, just scroll down and you'll see your submissions.

Click on the pencil to edit.

You can change the number of credits per share AND the total amount of credits you want to use.

Step 5: Earn More Credits.

As soon as possible, you'll want to get more credits. You can either earn them or buy them – or a combination of both.

Here's how to earn some credits.

Click the dashboard tab and scroll down.

You'll see tons of submissions that you can share to earn credits.

Sort them by “Most Recent” or by “Most Credits” if you want to earn credits faster.

There's a lot of JUNK in there – so it can take a scroll through to find something really worth sharing. Obviously I would never recommend that you share junk with your readers – so be picky. (Tip. Find my stuff… ) lol!

Example of a post worth sharing:

I found this submission by my friend, Loretta Oliver – and it's a really good blog post. In that post, she's promoting my Blog CPR course – so I obviously wanted to share that one. I clicked on the Facebook like button and Voila. Done. I earned 20 credits for promoting my OWN stuff. Sweet, eh?

Optional: Buy Credits.

If you prefer to automate this (or you want a ton of exposure) – you can purchase credits instead of (or in addition to) earning them.

I bought the $99 package. I wanted to be all over that page and yes, I am seeing traffic coming directly from the site.

Note: It takes a few minutes for the added credits to show up. Go grab some coffee after you order and come back. They'll be there.

That's all there is to it.

Two Additional Benefits.

There are two additional reasons to sign up.

1. It's a great place to get ideas for blog posts. If you scroll through the submissions, you'll find ideas for writing your own blog posts.

2. You'll find lots of blogs to comment on – again, if they are reaching your target market.

Here’s the link one more time -> Click here to Get Free Traffic.

So, what do you think?

Is this the type of tool you like to hear about?

Talk to me…

Hi! I hope you're having a great day.

I learned something cool in the Ultimate Social Challenge course that I'm currently studying.

Did you know that you can merge Pinterest INTO your Facebook Page?

Want to see?

If you go to my page here: Nicole Dean on Facebook – you'll see that Pinterest tab that my squiggly arrow is pointing to.

If you click on that tab, you will stay in Facebook, but you'll see my Pinterest page. COOL, eh?!

See?

You can see it live here: http://www.facebook.com/busymarketerscoach/app_305927716147259

People can actually “repin” and “like” my graphics without leaving Facebook. Love it.

How'd I do it?

Well, before I tell you, I should remind you that this is just ONE thing that I've learned in the Ultimate Social Challenge. If you sign up, you not only get access to the course, but you get my notes, as well.

That said, here's how I did it…

Either search in Facebook for “Pinterest Page App” or click here.

That app will ask you for several things.

1. Which page you'd like to put the app on. (If you have multiple business pages, for instance, you'll tell it which of your pages that you'd like Pinterest on.)

2. Your Pinterest ID. Enter that.

3. Whether you would like SOME of your boards or ALL of your boards pulled in.

That's it. Easy peasy.

I hope this has been helpful.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

My business couldn't run without ample amounts of orange cat fur collecting on my lap. That is the great contribution of my amazing feline, Orange Kitty.

He has his own Facebook Page http://Facebook.com/OrangeKittyFans (please LIKE him!)

He's mentioned in the last line of my official bio:

And his story is poignantly told here from the eyes of his favorite human, my 9 year old daughter…

My self-proclaimed office mascot is a four-legged feline named Isabella (Izzy for short). She's a beautiful prima donna who owns and manages our entire household – the world really does revolve around her. In fact, she thought she was so special, she got herself a Facebook page where she can complain and obtain pity from her doting fans –> http://Facebook.com/IsabellaFuzz

She goes by many aliases: Isabella Butt-Fuzz, Fuzzy Butt, Muffin, Izzy, Fuzzy Buckets and Isabella You're-a-Butt Eckstein when she's been up on the counters or the loft half-wall.

Her younger brother Plummet C. Turtle is a red-eared slider living in the lap of luxury in a 55-gallon turtle paradise that recently got a nice remodel. It consists of a filter waterfall, deep diving areas, sticks for climbing and more. His middle initial doesn't stand for anything… I really want a pet sea turtle, but they're an endangered species, so keeping them as pets is illegal (not to mention a little hard to keep a 200-lb young sea turtle in a suburban home), Plummet has given me permission to imagine that he's a sea turtle.

The youngest is a betta named Quid who keeps me company in my office. He enjoys living in a little one-gallon tank featuring a fake plant and some rubble from the lost city of Atlantis. His tank is branded to the blue and green colors of my company logo. (Hey, it's all about branding, right?)

If I had my way, I'd run an unofficial zoo. However, with the amount that I travel and the maintenance animals require, I can only keep a few. But on my wish list someday are a Golden Retriever (a Goldendoodle would rock!), Maltese puppy, box turtle (also with the middle initial C.), horse, dolphin, river otter, teddy-bear hamster, salt water fish tank complete with Nemo and Marlin, and of course, I'd love a sea turtle. If you know of any for adoption that won't grow beyond 6 inches, let me know!

I decided to check and see how people are reading my blog this month. Here's what I discovered…

Most of my readers read my blog on Firefox and Internet Explorer, but … a little further down the list I saw some other browsers showing up.

My Blog Traffic – April 2012

Safari is used by laptops and desk top computers, but it is also used on iPhones and iPads, too. While I don't get a lot of my traffic from Safari users, that is 9% of my traffic.

You can also see Android browsers and iPhone browsers are visiting my blog, too, although not nearly enough yet, for my tastes.

I decided to compare it to last April to see if it has changed much. Here's that screenshot.

My Blog Traffic – April 2011

You can see that I'm definitely getting more Safari browsers (3% more) than last year, which is interesting. I'm also getting more Android browsers, too.

My Apple Itunes traffic is down this year, but I credit that to the fact that I haven't recorded a new podcast in ages, not to real trends. (oops!)

Well, I hope this has been interesting.

So share with me. How do YOU use your mobile phone personally? Check emails and click through? Do you place orders on it?

Thanks!

Warmly,

Nicole Dean

My personal life has been keeping me from my blog the last few weeks. (I'll write more about that very soon.)

So, I turned to my bud, Susanne Myers of Daily Affiliate Tasks and asked for a guest blog post. In addition to being one of my favorite people on the planet, Susanne is a successful niche affiliate marketer, too, and is also my mastermind partner.

Turning this over to Susanne. Enjoy her brilliance!

Skip The Latest And Greatest Marketing Technique and Stick With Stuff That Actually Works

By Susanne Myers
Learn Susanne’s system here -> Daily Affiliate Tasks

It’s so easy to get distracted by this new course, that new link building network or the latest and greatest “super-secret-just-press-a-button-and-get-rich” system. But here’s the thing … that stuff doesn’t always work all that well and even if it does it doesn’t work for long. I’ve been doing this for quite some time as has Nicole and we’re both pretty successful at what we do.

We were chatting this morning about how easy it is to feel overwhelmed or left behind if you don’t keep up with all the latest and greatest stuff… and came to the conclusion that it’s really the same few things, done well that work in the long run.

Here’s What Works

Here’s what works for us. We share lots of great content through various outlets including our blogs, articles, short reports, audios, podcasts, videos, Kindle ebooks (in Nicole’s case. I’m still working on that one), and info products.

Yes, it’s work, but it’s well worth it. And we both have a couple of little tricks up our sleeves to make the most of all that content. The first is to simply repurpose as much as possible. That means that an email we wrote to a subscriber becomes a blog post, and is then expanded upon to turn it into an article. We compile several different articles in into a short report and submit it to sides like “Scribd”.

From there we may go back to the blog post and create an audio or video around the same content. You get the idea. By repurposing, you get to leverage every single piece of content you create.

Content Marketing Supercharged With Social Media

Once you have that content out there, mention it on social media sites. Tweet your latest blog post and post your videos on Facebook. Connect your Scribd account to Facebook and record some audio posts on Cinch.fm which will auto tweet and post them on FB. The more active you are in these social media outlets and start to share your content, the more readers you will attract back to your site.

I also recommend you make it easy to share your blog posts (or any other content for that matter). Take a look at the Twitter and Facebook button Nicole has on her blog. With the click of a button you can share this post. Please do :).

List Building And Email Marketing

Last but not least let’s talk about list building and email marketing. We both put a lot of time and effort into this and it accounts for a large chunk of our income. New readers find our content all across the web and eventually land on our blogs (here at NicoleOnTheNet.com or in my case at AffiliateTreasureChest.com). From there they’ll end up signing up for one of our lists and start getting emails. Some of them will be pure content emails; others will be offers for various products. Many of them will be a combination of both. In fact chances are that you’re reading this blog post as a result of one of Nicole’s emails to you.

Do me a favour… stop listening to all the hoopla about the latest and greatest “not-to-be-missed” technique for the next two weeks and instead focus on creating great content, marketing it via social media, building your list and then emailing them regularly. After those two weeks see if you don’t start to see an increase in traffic, exposure and most importantly income.

Ready for more tips on what works and what doesn’t?

So, I promised you that I'd share clever and unique marketing that catches my eye.

This is the one for this week.

We bought some Cheez-Its. This was on the back of the box. I love it!

Also, notice they have their Facebook page on the bottom.Prettty smart.

So, what do you think?

Does the make you want to try other Cheez-Its?

Are you utilizing all of your “virtual real estate” to tell people what ELSE they can buy from you? Or are you leaving them to guess?

What else does this picture make you think about?

Any way you think it could be improved?

Talk to me…

Warmly,
Nicole Dean
