Hey all.

My good friend, Connie Green does a cool coaching program where she chooses one of her special students and mentors him or her until they earn 10k per month.

AND – the coolest part is that she records the coaching calls and allows us to listen in as part of her Earn 10k Per Month Laser Coaching Program.

So, we get to listen in to the coaching calls, without having to put our own necks on the line.

This week, she started with a new student (a pretty cool gal, if I do say so myself) – and she's made their first call available to listen to free.

Hi! I was just posting on the My Nams Forum about a new tool that I found and I thought I'd share it over here, too.

Here's what I wrote…

If you took my www.OutsourceWeekly.com course, you know that I much prefer automation to delegation. Why pay a person to do a task that can be done by a computer, right?

Well, one of the things on my “I really dislike doing this and I dislike outsourcing it too” list is scheduling appointments to talk with…

1. my coaching clients (I, however, LOVE talking to my coaching clients once the appt is made),

2. setting time to meet weekly with my staff members, and

3. connecting with people for interviews (in fact, a lot of them get dropped because of the scheduling factor).

What I've been looking for is a program that will do that for me, easily.

Here's what I found. www.Tungle.com. Well, actually Tishia Lee suggested it to me. (Thanks Tish!)

So far, so good. Before I totally dive in with it, though, I wanted to see if anyone has found a better solution?

Well, the feedback so far has been that Tungle rocks. Paul Evans also uses it, which is endorsement enough for me. Plus, it's free.

Here's a video that I found to show you more – or just head on over to Tungle.com to check it out.

I hope it helps!

Warmly,
Nicole

Choosing your Target Customer

I've been noticing some extremely clever businesses lately and I decided to spotlight them, on occasion, and try to pick apart what is making them successful while others close up shop in their first year of business.

The example today is Sport Clips.

The hair franchise “Sport Clips” opened here in Pensacola recently. They only take male customers. You might think “Well, then they're cutting out 50% of their possible clientele. True. But, they have targeted their store to appeal towards men (specifically men who like sports), so, rather than trying to “kind of” get it right with 100% of people, they're knocking it out of the park (pun intended) for male sports fans.

Check this out – their mission:

At Sport Clips, It's Good to Be a Guy

At Sport Clips, we've created the perfect place for a guy to get great service and a great haircut. Our mission is to create a championship haircut experience for men and boys in an exciting sports themed environment. Stop in today for the ultimate just-for-guys haircut experience!

The Atmosphere.

They have a big screen TV in the waiting room – tuned to ESPN. The store is set up like a locker room. It's clean and masculine. No flowers or fluff, anywhere.

The service.

Their service menu is tailored to guys.

My 13 year old son got the MVP treatment and loved it. He said it was the best hair cut he ever had – and I don't know if he even looked in the mirror. He just enjoyed being a “guy” and getting the hot towel treatment and the scalp and shoulder massages.

Their Products.

Their Product Menu is …All for guys, too. It makes it much easier to decide WHAT to offer when you know WHO your target customer is, right?

Product Line Up

Sport Clips is proud to offer the finest products in men’s grooming. We’ve partnered with Paul Mitchell, American Crew, and Nioxin to provide men with a wide range of quality solutions for their unique lifestyle needs.

Efficiency in Hiring.

Another huge benefit is in hiring and training. It's much easier to train stylists on ONE type of client than to try to please everyone who walks in.

Marketing Clarity.

It's more efficient. Your marketing message is loud and clear. People know what to expect when they walk in the door. It's brilliant.

Let's apply this to your online business.

Have you really (*really*) figured out who your target customer is yet? It may change over the years. Mine has. But, it's essential that you know who you're talking to.

If you're a VA (Virtual Assistant) or Ghostwriter – who is your ideal client? Authors, Speakers, Chiropractors, SEO Experts…

If you've created a book or ebook – is it “Cooking for Everyone” or “Gluten Free Cooking for Moms That Even Your Kids Will Love”?

If you've started a coaching business – is your program “Lose Weight in 30 Days” or “Pregnant Moms – Lose Weight 30 Days Postpartum”?

If you started a PLR site – is it “all things plr” or are you specializing to one type of person?

If you put together an ecourse – is it “the one secret everyone needs to know about marriage” or “the one thing Christian women need to know about marriage”?

Some questions to ask.

Who is the person?

How old is he/she?

What does he/she value most?

What are their problems, concerns — what keeps them up at night?

These are all things to consider when creating products, services, putting together a coaching program, starting a podcast or blog, or writing a book.

Who is your best customer? And, how can you BEST help that person to succeed with whatever it is you specialize in?

That, my friends, is what I want you to think of today.

Questions, comments, observations? Please share.

Warmly,
Nicole “Still Taking Benadryl so Please Forgive Me if I have Typos” Dean

Hi I’m back with another “FREE Content” Friday!

Friday is the day where I give you free content. Hurray!

The free PLR report that you can get today is all about coaching programs and how they're an easy way to create a high-ticket product with little work.

Here's an excerpt:

There are many theories on why coaching has grown to become such a popular tool for millions around the globe. The self-help field has always been a booming business. Combine the popularity of self-help with the Internet, which provides easy access to experts in every industry, and it’s easy to see why coaching is such a popular and growing field.

And coaching touches almost every industry imaginable. Here are just a few of the common coaching approaches:

Life coaching

Business coaching

Executive coaching

Personal coaching

Health coaching

Time management coaching

Organization coaching

Sports/fitness coaching

Dating coaching

Career coaching

Here are a few more fun statistics:

“Personal coaching in the US was the second fastest growth industry, after IT. Apparently, there are 50,000 searches per month on Google alone from people looking for a coach.” (Sydney Morning Herald)

There are an estimated 40,000 coaches practicing in 70 countries worldwide.

The coaching industry continues to grow at a rate of approximately 20% per year.

Coaching is currently a $1 billion a year industry.

There are over 50 coach training schools worldwide.

What Does This Mean to You As An Entrepreneur?
As a business owner, the increasing demand for coaches provides you with an opportunity. As you’ll see over the next few pages, coaching offers you tremendous potential to grow your business. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in. The coaching business model can be adapted to fit almost any business model and niche. In fact, the more specialized your niche and services are, the more opportunities you may have.

Yeah, you read that right. I'm giving away iPads and other cool geeky gifts to my affiliates. And, I have NO idea how many I'll end up giving away. That'll be up to YOU.

Let me back up a bit to explain.

You may know that I recently retired as an Affiliate Manager. The reason I made that decision was so that I could focus on teaching and coaching marketers to succeed – which is where my greatest “fun” is.

But – I also knew I had to focus. “Niche it down” a bit.

Just like everyone else, there are things that I'm REALLY good at and things that I'm just good at. (And other things that I have NO business coaching.)

So, I decided to focus on infoproduct sellers. That makes sense, right? After four years of experience as an Affiliate Manager and Director of Marketing for infoproduct businesses, I brainstorm ways to make more money for infoproduct sellers in my sleep.

Anyway, I'm headed off on a tangent. Let's reel me back in.

So, the first thing I wanted to do was to put together a course about how to create your first infoproduct (a report, an ebook, an audio interview or even video course).

Well, I decided to team up on this project with my buddy, Ronnie Nijmeh, who you've heard me talk about before, to create this course. I just really enjoy working with him and he's a GREAT guy. Plus, he's in my personal mastermind group of four people. We pick each others brains regularly via Skype and it's really boosting my income.

So, I'd say he's qualified.

We're in launch mode now. And, Ronnie and I brainstormed some super geeky prizes to give away – including the brand spankin' new iPad.

So, can we give you an iPad? Please say “yes”!

Here's the JV page if you'd like to see what we've got:
JV Page for Rapid Product Formula

You'll see that commissions range from $39-$399 per sale.

We'll have plenty of free items to spread the word about, including a call next week. But, you can read all about that at the link above.

I received a nice email from Lain Ehmann the other day and responded.

Before I hit “send” I realized that this information can probably help more people, so I asked Lain if she would mind if I shared the discussion here. She's a sweetie and said “go for it”.

Here's the conversation…

Hi Nicole-

I was thrilled to discover your success cast. It's very educational and inspiring. I just listened to the Susanne Myers Interview, and she had so much great content and advice! I like hearing what Internet marketing “gurus” have to say, but I always take their advice with a grain of salt – after all, it sometimes seems that the only people making money online are those telling others how to make money online! But her story was so true and honest, and she's actually been there in the trenches doing what she turns around and suggests to the listeners. Wow!

I listened over and over and took notes about her advice on what she'd do if she had to start over from scratch. Amazing!

I would like to learn more about how to get incoming links on my website, but I haven't found much on that topic.

Can you possibly help steer me in the right direction?

Also, I was interested in knowing if you sponsor any training programs, or if you do coaching. Out of all the Internet marketers, I think I resonate most to what you have to say. I love how much you love your mom, too! It's so sweet. You're a real person, not some used-care salesman.

I believe in offering quality content to help people improve their lives, first and foremost. I don't want to automate a business selling something people don't need, or take part in some shell game or pyramid scheme. You seem so honest and real, and that matters to me.

Thanks for all you do-

Lain Ehmann – www.getscraphappy.com
Life doesn't have to be perfect to be good.

Hi Lain,

First of all, I LOVE your blog. I just got sucked in when I clicked through your link. Your writing is very genuine and heartfelt. I love it.

Second, thank you for the kind words. They mean the world to me.

As for your question, my belief is that 80-90% of your efforts during your day should be spent “off” site, rather than “on” your site. Yep. That means time spent actually marketing your products and services Well, that is IF it's a blog that you want to make money. Personal blogs are different, of course. But, the ones that need traffic to support your family – be doing at least one marketing activity per day (that not counting blog commenting or time on Twitter).

My awesome helper said she sent you the link to WebTrafficBasics.com to help you with some basic link building – it's an older course and needs to be updated, but it's still solid, and still free.

As for me, my one-on-one coaching rates are really high – just to try to protect my time a bit, so I really hesitate to send you to the page. I mostly work with infoproduct sellers who have a stream of income that I can help them to boost.

Actually, Susanne does have a link building course now. Just click here to get started -> Beginner Link Building Course

There are $300-$3000 courses that I could recommend, but I think you'll get more than what you need in that course. I trust Susanne 100% when I have questions about Link-Building so I recommend her course without hesitation.

Warmly,
Nicole

Authority Always Wins”. Well, way back when, I used to sign “I Fight with Dorothy. Dorothy always Wins”. Just talk to my hubby about it and he'll start mocking me, with a little dance and high voice and all.

Well, Dorothy may be tough, but I'll tell you an opponent that's much tougher. This opponent along with her ugly sister together kick the butts of more marketers than just about any other. Together, they have crumbled more entrepreneurs than any other opponents.

Perfection and Fear.

Both Perfection and her mean, ugly sister Fear looove to see us struggle.

We can usually wrestle with Fear because we recognize her as hurting us. But Perfection? Well, she's just simply trying to help us to do our best, right? WRONG! She's the sweet one with her phony little voice, always telling us that we can do better.

How many times have you said this about your unfinished projects?

“It's still not good enough. I have to keep working on it.”

Another month goes by and you're still trying to make it perfect. And, another month. And, another year.

Of course, we all know the translation is “I'll never be good enough”, right?

Guess what? It won't be perfect and neither will you, and that's OK! If I've told you once, I'll tell you a million times –

You do NOT have to be perfect to be profitable.

Why do you think I repeat it so much? Because I need to hear it, too!

Honestly, you know me by now and you know I do quite well online. Yet, I could do much much better if I could just get into a brawl in a bar with Perfection and kick her squirrelly butt.

I hope my coaching client doesn't mind, but here's what I wrote to him/her today. (Name is remaining anonymous unless that person chooses otherwise.) Yes, I get a little snarky in my emails, but that's because this particular coaching client can handle it.

One thing you should know about me is that I forbid perfection. I don't want it to be perfect or I'll make you slop it up, so don't get your head in a bundle trying to get it perfect.

You will NOT disappoint me unless you try to be perfect and it causes your progress to stall. That I won't tolerate. So, get your head out of your butt and get it done.

So, there. Print this off if you need to and tape it to your monitor, stick it on your fridge, sew it into your underwear, or glue it to your rear view mirror in your car. Heck, do all of the above.

Just repeat after me –

You do NOT have to be perfect to be profitable.

What are the takeaways from this?

1. Get some support from people who understand. Honestly, it helps. I'm not going to plug one certain mastermind groups or anything. Just connect with people who get it. If you'd like a personal recommendation for your situation, you can find me through Twitter in the links above or by leaving a comment below.

2. Be accountable. If you can't be accountable to yourself, than find someone who will make you get it done.

3. Get a coach if you need someone to kick your butt. Tiger Woods has one. (Obviously he should have had a marriage coach, too.) Michael Jordan had a coach. All the greats have coaches.

4. Don't beat on yourself. It's hard enough to get the confidence to make mistakes and to build a business in the first place. You don't need someone punching you in the face the entire time.

Obviously, this is an emotional post, but I hope that it gives you permission to be imperfect AND be profitable. I'm going to go now before I get teary again.

Please leave your comments. I'll be back tomorrow to read them. And, thank YOU for sharing time during your day with me.

Warmly,
Nicole

PS. You do NOT have to be perfect to be profitable.

There are lots of people who try and make affiliate marketing hard.

Actually, that's not so much the case as there are a TON of different ways to make money with affiliate marketing. The hard part is choosing the easy one for you.

I just found this video from my friend, Liz Tomey, and by “my friend” yes, I've known her for a few years. No, we don't vacation together or paint each other's toenails, but I know and like her.

I also enjoy chatting it up with her hubby Jamie Bing (who happens to also be her affiliate manager), too.

So, back to the point of this blog post, Liz created a wonderfully simple video and I really enjoyed it.

BUT, that's not the reason why I'm posting it here. I'm sharing it because I think it can really help a lot of you to see through the fuzz and come up with a course of action.

Kind of like those Claritin commercials where they pull the plastic off the screen to show everything crystal clear? Like that.

So, quit reading this and click play right now! Geez. Bossy, aren't I.

If you're ready to rock and roll with one of Liz's ideas,
you can Grab the Tax Man PLR Blowout Package here.

Now some info that Liz gave me to help explain what's going on here.

Easy Affiliate Marketing: Do This and Repeat Every Week – And Profit!

Private label rights has been a hot topic over the last several years and for a good reason.

When you get private label rights to a product, you can take that product and turn it into your own content or your own product.

Imagine all the time you will save NOT having to create all the content…

As affiliate marketers though sometimes we are overlooked on the private label rights front, so today I wanted to dedicate this post to helping you learn how to use private label rights content to explode your affiliate marketing…

First off…

Affiliate marketing should always start with building a list in your chosen niche. This is key…

Simply setup a squeeze page giving something of great value away for free in exchange for the visitors name and email address. (I use this autoresponder.)

Videos are awesome to use in your marketing because of the conversions that they can produce. Anytime you can get private label rights to videos you need to snatch them up!

Side Note: Liz Tomey has just released a huge package of private label rights products that include video workshops, video product, video reviews and so much more. This will help you a ton in your affiliate marketing and you can get the entire package PLUS personal coaching from Liz at here: PLR Package

Now once you start building a list, you basically have a license to print money.

You simply find a (edited to add: GREAT) product related to your niche and send an email to your list about it. They buy, are happy, and you make money.

It really is that simple…

Now once you have your list, you can also do other things to profit from it.

Stuff like…

Adding bonuses for buying through your links
Review products and sending the reviews to your list
Create products that you own and sell to your list

And so so so much more!

So here's the plan step-by-step…

1. Create a squeeze page that gives something away for free to start building your list

Note: You can use PLR content to create your free offer.

2. Review a product and create a message to send to your list that has a link to the review. You can then load this into your autoresponder and each person who joins your list will automatically get it.

Note: In Liz Tomey's Tax Man PLR Blowout package she gives you 25 video reviews of 25 different products that you can send to your list. You can get these by clicking here -> Tax Man PLR Package.

3. Find a product to promote to your list, and create a bonus to give to people who buy through your link. Create a message to send to your list that has a link to your bonus offer. You can then load this into your autoresponder and each person who joins your list will automatically get it.

Note: You can use PLR content to create your bonus product. You can get incredible PLR content to create your bonus with by clicking here -> Tax Man PLR Package.

4. Find good PLR content and use it to create your own product. Create a message to send to your list that has a link to your product in it. You can then load this into your autoresponder and each person who joins your list will automatically get it.

5. Rinse and repeat steps 2, 3, and 4….

This is the best way to create an autopilot income hands down!

If you actually DO this, then ALL you have to concentrate on is driving traffic to your squeeze page.

So, there you go. There's an entire plan using PLR content as an affiliate marketer!

Now where do you get all this private label content from?

I recommend that you check out Liz Tomey's Tax Man PLR Package.

In this package you'll get private label rights to video reviews, entire workshop and coaching programs, products, and more that are ALL personally created by Liz Tomey…

Not only that, but Liz is also offering personal coaching showing you how to use all the content too!

Now there are only 500 of these packages that will be sold, so make sure you go and grab one if you want it right now.

Remember, you can get an extra $50 in PLR from EasyPLR.com as a special bonus.

So, here’s what to do if you’re interested in this package:

1. Check out Liz Tomey’s amazing offer by clicking here: Grab the Tax Man Blowout Here!

2. If you decide to purchase, go ahead and order.

3. Be sure to check out the additional offer. I grabbed that one, too.

4. After you order, look around at EasyPLR.com and pick out the article packs that you’d like (max. $50).

5. Send your receipt to helper@easyplr.com along with the names of the PLR packs that you’d like as your bonuses.

6. Start downloading like crazy! And, get ready for Liz’s coaching.

7. Apply and profit.

Warmly,
Nicole

Several of you have asked how I record my podcast interviews. I'm very “non-techie” so I use a special tool that makes it really easy and have since 2005.

Here's a sneak peek:

You can record in several different ways. If you opt to use a telephone, these are the options that you'd be presented with:

I pretty much always use option #3 as I record coaching calls and interviews. The service provides the mp3 version of the audio that I can email or post in on my blog (and submit to iTunes).

If you need an easy way to record interviews, this may be the right option for you. If you'd like to check it out, you can try it free here to see if you like it: Easy Phone Recording Software. Yes, of course, that's my affiliate link.

Have a fantastic day!

I met Felicia Slattery at Willie Crawford’s Birthday Bash – and then had the enormous pleasure of seeing her again at Ken McArthur's IMPACT event. Psssst. It's her birthday today, so wish her a happy birthday!

She is a total firecracker! I just adore her for her energy, enthusiasm, and her smarts, too, of course. We definitely have a complementary skill set. Her strengths and my strengths are different, which means that, every time we sit down and talk, we each learn something new. (I love chatting with her for that reason and more.)

Felicia's bio – so you understand WHY I had her on the show other than because she's my friend:
