Definitely NOT superwoman.

I just focus on what is best for ME to be doing at every moment of the day.

What is the most profitable thing I could be doing RIGHT NOW? Usually it isn’t Twitter. (That’s how I reward myself for finishing a task that is directly tied to profits.)

What is the task that will get my closer to my overall lifestyle goals, be it going on a walk with my husband, movie time with kiddos, having a glass of wine with my mom, etc.

Hi my name is Leah and all the posts are all to familiar to me also. I have been trying to create something online for about 4 months now and although I do feel like I know and have learned more than ever in my life, I still struggle with my indecisiveness on what niche to be in,what traffic methods to follow,and pretty much everything. I am totally and completely confused as to which way to go even though I have all this new knowledge. I need a day to day action plan of some sort. I really admire all your hard work and skill Nicole and wanna say thanks for the inspiration.

Jeffrey, I’m with you on the list thing. I also like to focus on the same type of task at a time and use a technique called “chunking”.

For example, I will schedule a few hours of article writing one day. Then I’ll break up the tasks into keword research, writing titles, writing outlines, crafting resource boxes, writing the articles and finally submitting them.

I’ve tried to do “chunking”. Sometimes it works for me but usually I can’t veer off the “one subject at a time” approach.

I keep flipping back and forth, neither one is a perfect fit.

I find if I don’t start the day out with some clearly defined goals (and do them first) then my whole day gets frittered away.

Mmmm…fritters….

But I digress.

Everytime (including today)that I don’t do it this way then my whole day is a waste. Well, that’s not entirely true, I did get some things done, but nowhere what I could have done if I had stuck to the plan.

Wow Nicole, you are superwoman! I have got to get more organized! LOL!!

It seems as though when I start out the day I get so trapped in all my email accounts, reading blogs, responding to emails, checking out the forums I participate in, and then before you know it, it is several hours later and ugh…I have not done what I need to do, or would like to do.

I read some where one time to NOT let your email be your slave. I have got to start practicing that one for sure! Gosh, it is so easy to get lost in all the chatter.

Thanks for reminding me I have got to set my schedule and stick to it. Great post!!
