As you know Nik, I’ve made some big mistakes throughout the years, but it won’t hold me back and the words “I Give” or “Uncle” are never an option for me!

And you know, as long as you don’t keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again, failing for the same reasons, you’re moving forward. So, it’s all good. 🙂

I’m actually reviewing George’s new book, as soon as the publisher gets it to me. I’ll let you know if it’s any good.

Honestly, it took me SO much gumption to get over my fear of failure and take risks that I am DAMNED proud of my failures! They are badges of honor to me, because I was playing puny and scared at first.

I had my 12 year old perfectionist (takes after his mama) son watch it with me.

I want him to know that perfect isn’t our goal, because it means that we’re playing scared and safe. You can’t be perfect if you’re truly pushing yourself. They’re in direct competition of one another.

He’s not hard on the eyes, eh? 🙂

Them’s some mighty powerful words, alright! Like Angela said, sometimes the people closest to us can be so critical and not very understanding or supportive. I think that’s what makes “failure” harder than it has to be.

I saw George Foreman on a news story the other day talking about how he failed so miserably so many times until his grill thingy took off. And now he’s sold more than 1 million grills. His message was that you’ve got to fake it until you make it when you’re trying to sell yourself or an idea. In the ring, he had to fake that those punches to his stomach didn’t hurt in order to gain momentum and win a fight.

I figure people who have never failed at something have never tried anything new. Nicole can attest to some of my cooking disasters. Well, out of some of those disasters came some pretty good recipes. Live and learn. 🙂

One of my mentors JP Micek told me “Loss is part of the game”…in regards to failure & success. I love it!

JP also told me, “How can an expert truly help someone if they haven’t failed themselves.”

In regards to my bankruptcy JP told me, “It’s a rebirth instead of a death sentence”, and I couldn’t agree more.

I definitely got goose bumps when I watched the video that you shared with us today. It’s amazing how people take notice of all your failures, but neglect to see that those failures have made you the success that you are today.
