LOL, the bird diapers thing had me laughing. I thought it was a joke, until I checked it out.

I like seeing everyone’s latest blog links. I actually found the site by googling comment luv. Didn’t know what it was when commenting on another blog.

I admire commentluv plugin and use it on my main website.. Atleast it gives a reason to users to add comment …
Though new Google announcement of following nofollow links making me to remove it.. What do you suggest??

I go through all the comments and see which ones deserve to be there and which ones don’t. I must say that after installing it
my comments have increased and interaction with some commentators have also increased.

UPDATE:

I decided to replace Comment Luv with BackType which will embed Twitter discussions about blog posts for awhile and see if it increases or decreases participation.

Thoughts? 🙂

I had some problems when I first added comment luv with spammers just dropping crappy links… that’s starting to die down now though.

I have it installed on a bunch of my sites. Works fine however I find that it may lower my sites value because many people who leave comments are just spammers and by me having those outgoing links it makes my site look worse at least in googles eyes.

However I do make it a point that if someone gives me some link luvin I give them a click in sponsor luv in return, sort of pay it forward.

I am using Comment Luv now on three Blogger blogs. I had some problems before, but now since the updates it seems to be working well. It is hard to tell sometimes if it is a JS-Kit problem.

I dropped CommentLuv. I didn’t find that it increased comment activity and didn’t find the links it left to be all that relevant for my readers.

I’m testing out Disqus and thinking about using that on my entire blog network to better manage comments. It seems that when used well, Disqus can bring my readers some great benefits. We shall see what I think over time.

Think it a version control issue it needs to be all 2.8 compatible
