I had the great opportunity while training at Zig Ziglar corporation in the 1980s to have lunch with him. Truly inspiring. Sad he is physically gone but as you prove here, his wisdom lives on.

Hey Nicole,
I’ve just ‘lucked in’ …long story … ‘nother day…. on the Zig topic …I’m from a great life in sales/marketing …. & I could stand correcting ,but …was it Zig who said “sell the sizzle … not the steak”?? … there was a story around it, from his experience, which illustrated the point beautifully – and consequently it stuck with me!!
Stories are the key … boiled down it was simply ‘benefits’ in relation to ‘features’ … but the story sealed the deal!

Today is the memorial service for Zig Ziglar.

I will always remember this man with great fondness. He changed my life. Though we never met, I consider him my friend and mentor. I appreciate how he lived his calling and demonstrated it with impeccable excellent character.

In today’s culture there are many men who are great salesmen, or great speakers, but Zig was all that and a great man – a life not littered with indiscretions and self-motivated indulgences.

Thank you Mr. Ziglar for a life well lived. Thank you for your words of instruction and motivation. I will…see you at the top.

Also, knowing how to create emotion in people is an essential attribute of a successful businessman / seller.

This man, Zig Ziglar was definitely an inspiration to millions.

I always enjoyed listening to his material as somewheres in his message he always left you feeling as if he cared about you personally. I believe he did care about everyone he spoke to and his goal was to change everyone’s life he touched in a positive way.

I have a set of cds on goal setting and it is awesome. Here is a quote from an online article which I would like to share with you all:
