Questions already rolling in about this RSS Directory…
in Advertising & Special Deals by Administrator on 17 Dec 2006
Hi there :) If you're new to my blog I want to welcome you and invite you to subscribe to my RSS feed. - Nicole Dean
Here are some questions I received after mailing my newsletter just a few minutes ago…
1. Is this thing really going to get traffic?
Well, first of all, I wouldn’t have told you about it if I didn’t think so. Secondly, yes, they are doing some heavy-duty advertising. However, the risk is so small, I figured it was worth a try.
2. Why are you so excited about this?
I figure, if John Reese, owner of Traffic Secrets, is buying links, then it’s worth looking into.
3. What about the RSS feeds?
Yes, certainly, add your RSS feeds to the directory for FREE if you have a blog. I just didn’t want to overwhelm you with info since so many of my readers are newbies and have NO idea what RSS is. But, yes. I added mine and I encourage you to add yours. It’s free!
4. Is there an affiliate program?
Yes, there sure is! But you have to sign up as a member in order to promote it.
Here’s how you can take advantage of this…
1. Click here to go to the site.
2. Once you’re there, set up a free account.
Ok, now is the fun part.
1. Find the link on the main page (right under the search box) where it says “advertise”.
2. Choose your tags (or keywords) where you want to be found.
Please keep the questions coming…

Nicole,
Thanks for letting us know about this.
But where do I get my RRS feed for my blog?

Maria,
It depends on the type of blog you have.
Looks to me like you have a blogger blog. If you log in and look at your feeds, you’ll find it in there.
Go to “Settings”
Then to “Site Feed”
And, I BELIEVE (I’m no blogging expert) — that it is the Site Feed there.
Something like:
http://XXXXXXX.blogspot.com/atom.xml
Where the XXX’s would be your blog name.
Hope that helps!

Hi,
Thank you for answering my question about what to do. Now I have gone to my account but my purchase is not showing up yet. How long will it take? Thanks, Sheri

Mine took a few minutes. If it’s in your paypal, then it’s gone through.
I don’t own this service, but my order went through pretty quickly.
After you enter your ads, then they need to be approved, which took about an hour for me.
I hope that helps!

Hi again Nicole,
Is that what you mean?
http://alittlejoyfortoday.blogspot.com/atom.xml
when I click on it it gives a description of my blog.
So now, do I enter the URL in the new directory?
Thanks,
Maria

Yes, I believe that is correct. Mine for this blog is
http://www.nicoleonthenet.com/feed
and the two look quite similar. Mine was accepted, so I’m sure it’s correct.
